I'm not in Dwane's discord anymore, and I haven't been since Dwane's old server got nuked.
I'm pretty sure if I make a new account and enter his new server, his janny team will ban me automatically for having a new account, so I can't be the one to check. :lossmanjack:

So I got a message from a friend who is in the server, and they told me that the message is fake. Dwane is still around, although he is mostly busy with his real life job.

Thanks for clearing that up. Really hard to keep track of the TriHard community nowadays, especially if you're not in any of the new Discords (that, from what I've seen, are mostly haHAA).
Great choice to focus on his job and not streaming, though. Especially after seeing clips like this:
 
I honestly thought that screenshot was unlikely to be legitimate.
Rule of thumb, any claims of streamers "returning" in this community are usually from sources who have no evidence to back it up.
There's no real reason for people like Dwane to return to streaming, as this type of streaming isn't profitable or rewarding (to them) anymore.

How does one beat MS? It's very much incurable.
I can only imagine that she has relapsing-remitting MS and she had a flare up that receded.
Perhaps he doesn't understand what MS is?

Best guess I have is he is conflating "MS Free" with "symptom free" or even reduced symptoms with minimal flares.
Gene therapy has been coming a lot way in making things easier but it doesn't cure it. There have been isolated cases of someone going from having moderate MS symptoms to symptom free or "silent MS".

Certainly, a majority of people living with MS live at a plateau disease level without major fluctuations for months or years at a time.

In order to "cure" MS there would need to be a means of promoting remyelination, resolving sclerotic plaques, and probably eliminating Epstein-Barr virus, in addition to resolving some of the underlying genetic factors (such as HLA-DRB*15:01).

At present there are no validated means of solving any of those issues in an in vivo setting, so I have to presume that "he doesn't understand MS" is an accurate summary.
