Most of the people playing are fresh off Call of Duty or have never played an FPS with vehicles, makes sense
Considering the fact that a lot of disgruntled CoD players are now getting into it im not suprised its basically a repeat of the BF4 vs CoD Ghosts era I should know I was one of those black ops 2 kids trying bf4 out as it was the first 64 player battlefield on console way back in my freshman year of high school im sure they will have to learn quickly

I was cookin motherfuckers this morning like I was 19 years old again playing bfbc2 and mw2. It was exhilarating. One game of Breakthrough I went 25/2/6 while playing the objective and reviving people left and right, finished top of the scoreboard. Call of duty would have wanted me to believe that it's a young man's game now, but it's almost like when you even the playing field and not give the no lifer adderall abusers stupid gimmicks like ass sliding and break neck running speed and forcing people into sweat lobbies, that anybody can get this work. Like people have been saying, this game really has that classic bf3/4 feel and I'm loving it. No bullshit, no sbmm, just a classic multiplayer shooter. I thought I might have been done with multiplayer games but this one is reeling me back in big time.

We're old, buddy.

I don't think that counts, it's nowhere near as sophisticated.
I'm being generous. You are correct, Warzone's vehicles don't compare to Battlefield.

This is me being optimistic: if this Battlefield sells well enough, maybe CoD could go back to the drawing board with Ghosts again.

At least in terms of BF4 and BF1 the yearly cods that had to go against them certainly underperformed and lit a fire under Activisions ass, and I don’t even think Ghosts and Infinite Warfare were particularly that bad but people were tired of them doing the same old shit, Infinite Warfare also suffered from the hate bandwagon as a result of being the third jetpack game in a row, I still remember the embarrassing dislike count, no wonder they did a WW2 game the next year :story:

Finally played the beta and manage to reach level 10. Gameplay is solid, maps are decent.I like the Cairo map the most.
(Fuck that mountain map though, everyone is out of bounds camping on the mountain top.)

But again,I'm still very concerned about cheating problem, already see some strange shit while playing and saw people in the chat calling bunch of chinks out.

Yeah I think Multiplayer games on PC have become completely unviable because of all of the cheaters it’s even worse in China given that their culture encourages it, I’ll give EA credit for making turning crossplay off much easier then Activision does but still it sucks for those who play on PC, games are quickly becoming a minefield

I’m more concerned about the campaign, since that would be a technical slice of DICE’s writing and storytelling in a Battlefield game. I know Battlefield is known for multiplayer, but if they’re selling these European countries in war in the United States, I’d like to know why.
Iirc, the setting is near future 2028ish, NATO has collapsed and many of the European members outside of the Anglosphere and the French have withdrawn, and a private military company funded by the Russians and the Chinese has taken the opportunity created by the power vacuum to launch a series of domestic terror attacks in the continental United States and United Kingdom culminating in a simultaneous coordinated military strike on the east and west coasts ( 2 maps are set in New York and 2 maps are set in California). The player will play as a marine corps raider in an international task force deployed to support troops domestically and internationally, including what looked in the trailer like a night raid to decapitate the leadership of the opposition.

Could be good or forgettable, despite not being a call of duty fan, I actually liked the single player campaigns for the remakes of the first two Modern Warfare games.

You didn’t like Battlefield 1?
I did like it but not nearly as much as BF4. It was a refreshing take going to ww1 and I really liked the map designs that came with it, the longer operations mode etc. But I still preferred BF4, Operation Metro hardcore mode was like crack to me. BF6 so far feels a lot like BF4 but with more cool stuff, I haven't tried the vehicles yet though and have seen a lot of people saying the controls feel dumbed down, hard to tell if that's legit or just people who are coming from other shit like Arma.

Speaking of which, I haven’t played 1 in months. The first game I’m in now was a custom Operations server where players are limited to iron sight rifles, pistols, deployable sentries and no vehicles but horses. I expected to get steamrolled, but I managed to hold my own. I would say that’s the closest to an authentic WW1 experience I had yet. Obviously, long range sniping with sights is difficult so it helps for medium, short range engagements. Battlefield 1 still got it.

I'm on PC using M&KB, and I've been enjoying the gunplay, though I do think they need to tone down the bloom. I also think the bloom/recoil issues might be specifically because we lack all of the attachments that will eventually be in the game. In older battlefields, I remember being able to turn most guns into no-recoil lasers with the right attachments, so I don't doubt we'll be able to do the same in this game.

But also, I'm 30 years old, so there are tons of gun fights that I'm losing specifically because I'm not a kid on Adderall.
I feel ya on feeling old for fps games now. I used to be a beast at fps games, I'm still ok I suppose, yet it's like I don't feel like I'm that old, but my reaction time and head clicking precision is just not what it was 15, 10, even just 5 years ago.

Still having a lot of fun just playing with randoms so far. Convinced a few of my IRL friends to download it and we're gonna have a full squad tonight with mics. I think I'll reserve my final judgement till I've played it with people actually talking and working together.

TL-DR? some faggot is going:
STOOOOOOOOOOOP
HAAAAAAAAAAAAVING
FUN

I went back and tried playing Halo MCC's multiplayer like a year ago and I'm so fucking bad at it. I remember being great at Halo 3 and Reach back during peak 360 times.

Pretty much any Gaming YouTuber is like this now, they can’t critically think about specific aspects of the game that they like or dislike and instead sperg out as if all aspects of a game were bad because of a few nitpicks, or they just wanna grift to an impressionable teenage audience, I get shit for saying this but I do legitimately feel we’re rapidly heading forwards a dark age of video game and general media criticism in general, the internet certainly has ruined critical thinking skills

So the things i've been seeing seem to be promising. Do you guys think its wise to get my hopes up? I haven't bought a battlefield since BF1.

Screaming women nonwithstanding, it looks like an iteration on 4 which is all i ever wanted. Did they bring back the old server browser (at least on pc), or is that extinct now?
