In my experience, this is nearly all games in the modern year. Console players in particular don't talk, likely because they don't want to be banned from their games or Sony barring them from all the games they paid for.
That and since universal party chat became standard, there's no need to go into public comms. Oh, and consoles nowadays don't come with headsets anymore.

If you are used to playing FPS titles and your normally play at stock in game mouse sensitivity and your usual (COD mouse)dpi but find this game too difficult try cutting in game mouse sensitivity by a tiny bit over half and double your mouse dpi to 1200-1400. You may well find the sword in the stone wasn't as hard to claim as you thought.
I also found that capping the framerate a bit lower helped with how smooth the movement feels.

Had it at 150 initially and was forced to go down to 100, since I kept getting these fluctuations from 130-150 and while still relatively high, it felt like I had micro-stutter.

I don't even think this is as widespread as this claims. Apparently, people are even being sanctioned for OTHER's chat logs.

Battlebit has this too. But Battlebit is dead with the april update still not coming out.

Ok, so I've had a few days to cool off and I managed to unlock the Saiga and Glock. The Saiga is really good at deleting sliders and movement niggers and the Glock is fun to use.

Don't forget: Bots in this game count towards challenges still and they're very easy to kill. There's a featured gamemode now under the multiplayer tab called "Casual Breakthrough" where you're put on an 8 player team with 20-30+ bots vs another 8 player team with 20-30+ bots.

I've had this game bug out in terms of unlocks twice now.

1st time, the phantom edition skins unlocked for me for a few days.

2nd time is today, where the first tier of the weapon assignments completed all at once.

In my experience, this is nearly all games in the modern year. Console players in particular don't talk, likely because they don't want to be banned from their games or Sony barring them from all the games they paid for. The only ones with active communication are RPGs, since trading sustains the game's economy and powerlevelling is a thing.
Yeah, a week or two after launch, I was playing with my co-worker and we were trying to play cooperatively with randoms. He rage quit after being ignored multiple times when they wouldn't spawn on top of him.

Fucking sucks, but that's current year.

After playing quite a bit:

The TR-7 is an SMG disguised as an AR, a monster when you get the recoil handled. Got the L85A3 to level 40 - it works well as a close-mid range hybrid with the sight that allows you to put the additional red dot on top of it. G36 still probably my favorite.

Still don't like most LMGs except the M60 - after this challenge nerf I should have the KTS to play with. The DRS doesn't count because that's just an AR but better.

The LMR27 is actually pretty good on Assault- damage keeps up on the mid-ranges with little dropoff. Probably the best DMR. All the others are terrible and the recoil per shot makes most magnified scopes unusable, very counterintuitive design. The SVDM is nothing to write home about.

SMGs are cheating.

Ok, so I've had a few days to cool off and I managed to unlock the Saiga and Glock. The Saiga is really good at deleting sliders and movement niggers and the Glock is fun to use.

The fact the saiga is sub-100 damage per shot makes it garbage, personally. The m1014 has a similar RoF and better damage to allow spamming shots in a slide spammers direction, only needing to land one hit. Saiga is too forgiving in that regard.

Glock is bar-none the best sidearm right now. Sucks that you're stuck with only 60 points to play with when customizing, idk why it's not 100

There is something off. It always feels like you need to do way more damage to kill anyone they when you recieve damage. Which is true for most FPS games.
There is something incredibly fucking janky about the gun play in this. I constantly having to empty 10-15 rounds into a person at 15-20m to kill them with the M4A1. I swear to god half the hits I get on someone simply arent connecting.

I have felt some oddities in my experience, like I suspect that Hight-over-bore makes the crosshairs in this game feel slightly off, but the biggest thing for me is just not using high-recoil/high-firerate guns.

Between bloom, recoil, and erratically moving targets that are trying not to die, you are probably missing 30-40% of your shots at anywhere beyond close range, assuming you're not burst-firing.
Guns with a quick TTK/high-firerate like the M4A1 only really excel in close quarters and are more fit for super aggressive playstyles where you try to get up in people's faces and saturate them with as many bullets as possible. If you don't slide all over the map and pre-fire every corner you see, you really can't take advantage of that, and you will just end up fighting your gun's recoil for every fight you take outside of ~15 meters.

Sure, you can absolutely burst-fire, its a good skill to have, but at that point why are you even using that gun if you're always using it outside of its optimal range envelope?
This is all to say, Time to kill DOES matter, but it doesn't mean that much if you're missing half your shots.

For shooters in general, not just Battlefield, I never realized how much I was fighting the gun until I started prioritizing accuracy over fire rate. It's no different for this game in my experience. The AK4D and the DRS-IAR are my easy buttons for me because they hit hard and are extremely controllable at range.

The LMR27 is actually pretty good on Assault- damage keeps up on the mid-ranges with little dropoff. Probably the best DMR. All the others are terrible and the recoil per shot makes most magnified scopes unusable, very counterintuitive design. The SVDM is nothing to write home about.
I've had the opposite experience trying out DMR's tbh, but I also don't tend to spam them either. the LMR I just personally cannot get over its low damage compared to the others in its class
The SVK is probably my favorite DMR but only when paired with an AR to balance its low firerate, If you get a good angle on a pub push its like shooting fish in a barrel. I also find it extremely effective at counter-sniping since its semi auto and can reliably two-shot.
on Recon I mostly just stick to carbines or the M14 if I want more range cuz I think its more versatile as a primary vs the SVK.
The SVDM though I have no idea who it's for. It just feels like an M14 with a little less recoil and half the ammo capacity.

Some players and sometimes late in long running matches it seems enemies just dump all the damage to me instantly. Any chance of not being killed, switching to side arm or anything is gone. At times you even get that thing where it feels like your game just freezes as an enemy appears and there's nothing you can do but die.

Other times it is fine.

Even when sniping, there's times I can not hit anyone. I miss every shot. Then will go on for a while hitting everything. It feels like something is off. Scope in. Have the zeroing bind. They aren't moving. Miss endlessly. Then have a tear where I am quick scoping moving people and hitting them. One after the other.

So I definitely think something is off with a gun play.

Its 100% the netcode, I think the recent update made it worse. I've also had a fuckton of stuttering that I haven't encountered before. Very annoying and I don't have a clue if it'll be fixed next update

I appreciate that the challenges have been nerfed, but some of them are still like pulling teeth because they don't track properly like they should. I'm doing the final support challenge and its a fucking nightmare because you have to get 2,000 damage with the thermite launcher that you unlock. Which is fine on its own, if the challenge actually tracked the burn damage that it deals, instead it seems like you have to get direct hits or hit people with the initial explosion, which I think only deals around 12-20 damage.

I ended up having fun with how retarded that one was, but after many matches and still not being half way there I did the work around.

Spawn as an engineer in a map/mode with vehicles. Such as Firestorm conquest. Find a vehicle in spawn. Place mines around it. You may or may not need to have entered vehicle and moved it slightly. Not sure on that though. Redeploy as support. Place ammo crate down. Use the flame launcher to blow up the mines, destroy vehicle and get lots of points. It can be a bit tricky and not work.

Find your engineer kit. Switch back. Restrock mines. Lay them down at another vehicle. Switch back on your support bag. Repeat. Doesn't take long to finish.

The ones I am struggling with are 50 assists in a match. So I need to play bad? Some of the ones about kills on points. I can go great in a match and not even get half the required kills. Some I am grinding and trying, others I am putting down to, "if it happens it happens." The 75 revives in a match was a grind when I tried it. Gave up and then had a match of breakthrough defending come up, that had lots of bots and did it.

10,000 points in a round of King of the Hill was so hard when trying. I put that aside and then when playing for the fun of the mode I noticed I was going really well and got it. Was still down to the wire.

spamming +80 smokes per game made me realize how amazing smoke screens are. Until people hack/bug through them or whatever. Then I log in the next day and see the challenges got nerfed to shit.

I've been un/installing this game on repeat. I want to play it but it feels irrelevant. With only 4 classes there's no sense of providing a service that others cant. Jerking off behind a tank is one of the few means of making a big difference - given 3 other guys also do it and they don't have 5 dudes spamming RPGs at once.

Just this last match I died from people who lost sight of me at least half a second ago. How the fuck are you meant to talk guns, TTK and stats when they don't matter when you're half a second in the past compared to everyone else? How people get hooked to this game underlines exactly the mentality of people who play shooter slop: Eating shit 10 times in a row is fine if you get to shit on 3 guys an hour later.

That sounds like an issue on your end. I've had a couple of matches where I've been tossed like a ragdoll, but those are few and far between where the normal is I'll get 3 kills for every 1 death, or better. You can absolutely go 15-0 if you stick to a role such as blowing up the enemy's air vehicles for example.

In infantry fights though, I have two friends who main Support, so I probably get it a lot easier when it comes to medic revives than others.

BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.1.1.5
So they're finally providing the patch they said they'd provide with REDSECs release but didn't? What the fuck took them this long to fix this shit. Oh yeah sorry I forgot, Battlefield Studios is a fresh new company backed by a multi-billion dollar company, it's not their fault they can't do their job properly!
