Well I just purchased an Anycubic 3D printer & washer. Once I get it and get a handle on 3D printing, expect me to post some bullshit when able to.

EDIT: As an addition in case anyone asks, I got the Photon Mono X and the Wash & Cure Plus. The washer was something like $50 off while the Mono X was a whopping 49% off. Could've gotten the Photon 4K for cheaper, but I considered long term & eventual bigger builds

My brother has been picking up on the games but refuses to learn up on the lore. He's afraid he is going to death spiral into a place he won't come out from.

On another note excited to get my hands on the Empire Alone splat book. Also need to pick up Redemption Rites as well.

I've been doing some minor digging into "Faith" trying to find out some information. Found a Youtube account with Faith McClosky attached to it. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiq0Swm3X7p81SzrOkpO3Tg one of the videos uses a fake womans voice to proclaim that "I'm a shitty fanfic writer"


Also all his accounts use the same PFP. From his facebook to his BTF account and everytime I see it I'm getting red flags that this is a fake account.

We know "Faith" doesn't exist. I don't know if anyone knows who's behind any of those accounts, though. Might have been a multiple-person effort to fuck over Pardoe. They can all eat shit as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah. Well appearantly shes been attacking David at the Everything Battletech Discord group. Apperantly they are still tied to CGL from what was told to David. He hasn't said anything of yet.

Looking to get into this.

Does anyone have any recomendations for sets or resources they’d recommend starting out aside from Sarna? Tex from blackpantslegion seems like a good enough guy, and the random podcast of his I listened to make him come off as a gun nut which makes me like him more.

Heres a useful link of what to get started in the BT stuff https://tinyurl.com/ydtr589e. If you want to get into the lore aspect of the setting the Novels are actually really good. https://www.sarna.net/wiki/List_of_BattleTech_Print_Novels_and_Anthologies and if you want the reading order just read the order they where released. You can skip The sword and the Dagger honestly though.

To give you an idea of whatfactions/pirates/mercs use and in what time period, look up Master Unit List. Catalyst Game Labs runs it and updates it as frequently as they can. It does the following for the game:
  • Let's you see what each faction brings to war; mechs, infantry, vehicles, ConstructionMechs, battle armour, drop pods, the works. Even separates it all by time period
  • When you look at something, it shows you the battle value, the C-bill cost, what period it first appeared include what year. There's even a collapsible menu on the right side of the page that shows you who used the thing (I'm just gonna be lazy at this point to cover all the things and call them just that) by time period.
  • Want to play the faster paced Alpha Strike version of the game? Well most of the things on the site have printable cards with all the Alpha Strike stats needed to play. Some things, like a lot of the prime variants of omnimech, lack the AS card but whatever
  • Top right corner of the thing's page links to you what TRO (fluff on the things), Record Sheets (the stat sheets for the standard BT game), XTRO (experimental things. Most are meh and are technically only available in the FedCom Civil War or Jihad time periods. They're niche things, but you might find something you like. I dig the Banshee BSH-11X in the Lyran one as its a dumb wall of armor), Recognition Guide (the upcoming ilClan time period's TRO and record sheet combo. XRTOs are designed the same way), historical books, what issue of Shrapnel they were in, and I think you get it at this point. If you click on it, or even just go to source tab (big fuckoff list off all the books with stuff for the game), it gives you the rundown of all the things you can use in it as well as links to either CGL's store or to DriveThru RPG's site. CGL tends to be cheaper, but DriveThru tends to have more sales, so shop around
It's where I go to get ideas for mechs I want. Something to keep in minds, save for named/infamous mechs or the vast majority of XTRO mechs, you don't have any real restriction of mechs if you can think of ways as to how they got the mech. The factions' mech list are for the most part guidelines.
