I'm getting late game in Clans and am walking around with a full star of Executioners loaded out like this: View attachment 6592152
It's working pretty well but I'd like to hear about whatever fun builds you guys have been working with.

I only used one Executioner and just slapped on a classic 3 ERLL 10 ERSL build on it. This Hellbringer though was a real MVP for a good chunk of the game.


The 15 MPL Direwolf is pretty funny too with how fast it just melts through mechs.

Welcome! It has been a busy month, from a brand-new MechWarrior game releasing to stellar reviews, to many new official product announcements, to a beloved fan-zine self-destructing. All of this happening while in less than a week an American election could spell the end of the Western world as we know it.

I will always and forever say that removing Canopus will get rid of so many of these creeps. If only the Capellans or Federated Suns conquered them so many issues and headaches could have been avoided.

I can't get into Mechwarrior 5: Clans. The characters and cutscenes are just insufferable. There was something special about Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries. You can access the entire Inner Sphere to run operations as you see fit. I find it much more interesting to be a Mercenary than a Clanner. The game feels cookie-cutter.

It's always been this way tbh, it's just way more of a problem this time because PGI didn't follow the order of operations FASA followed: That being story campaign game first, THEN the open world mercenaries spinoff. PGI worked in complete reverse and both games suffered for it. [Mercenaries had glaring issues that took a lot of post-release development and modding to fix, and Clans, while much more refined, was too small in scope to follow up Mercenaries.]

If you were stuck in a hot metal coffin you'd wear next to nothing to. Piloting battlemechs is nothing short of pure discomfort. They're loud extremely uncomfortable weapons of war, if you have to get into anything other than maybe a battlemaster or fancy clan mechs that usually don't have to worry about heat expect pain and suffering.

The Atlas is noted for having an exceptionally roomy head area on account of the oversized Death's Head. The obvious downside is that you're an Atlas pilot and therefore even by BattleTech standards you're considered far, far more expendable than your machine is. You may also be part of the Lyran Commonwealth and therefore cursed to a life of endless scouting missions on account of your battalion's Commando pilots thinking a couple of SRM launchers meant they could take down a Dragon if only they could get close enough.
