Battletech - Also known as Trannytech

So if I were to switch that out in a game of Alpha Strike for the Awesome or Battlemaster that came in the armord combat box, which would be the better option to keep things well rounded? The battlemaster goes further and has back mounted weapons, but the Awesome is range agnostic.
Awesome is pretty solid when it comes to a range mech and honestly if I was going to do a replacement that would be it. Though if you still want to run the Annihilator run the 1X variant, its still slow as shit but its one of the few armors thats 99.9 maxed out on its armor so its a tanky son of a bitch.

On the more dramatic SJW shit Faith rearing his ugly mug in a Mage Leader video about the Hunchback getting upset over stupid jokes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdqmr3m05R0&t=1s

I meant his real name.
Ahh I don't know. The information I got so far is that the guys from Gettysburgh PA and goes by "J". Thats pretty much it. Blaine did say his information is public but I'm having a hard time finding out.

Keep in mind Pardoe is (or was) involved in legal action against this person, so he may be constrained from mentioning them until that shakes out.

(Personally, I find it darkly hilarious that the BT community has gotten stuck with someone who makes Camille Klein look flat fucking sane by comparison.)

I don't know who that is.

But regardless yeah I've been trying to dig up information on Faith for the past month now and pretty much nothing. Still baffles me that he gets the orbits that he does.

8 months. Eight. Fucking. Months.

That's how long it took for the Game of Armored Combat box, the Urban Lance and the Striker Lance to be delivered.

Murad is fucking jarring, but at least she's easy enough to ignore.
The day I had finally fully upgraded the Argo was a blessing, since I knew it would cut back on my need to interact with that sack of shit a lot.
The writing for all characters in consistently good, but Murad is so terrible, it feels like they dumped all the political bullshit (except pronouns) on her, just to be done with it.

Best interaction is that Flashpoint where the Cappies hire you to kill a cult leader and she unironically goes "We're mercenaries, not murderers!"
I've tailored my Marauders to snipe cockpits with a Gauss Rifle from half a cross the map. That fat blimp should have put together the pattern of my lance dropping and 2 or 3 new mechs in almost entirely pristine condition appearing in the Argo with some poor Shmuck being forced to hose down the remains of the cockpits to get rid of the former pilots.

I said it before and I'll say it again, Murad is a Regulan. She's got no business being that fucking naive.

Doubtful. Regulans are Hindu not Muslim. Or was Murad described as Hinu? Haven't played in a long time and she stroke me as the token Muslim in the crew.
And if she was from the principality of Regulus she wouldn't be so fucking squirmish with killing people. At the end of the jihad glassing planets was the basic MO of the Regulan Hussars whenever the Word of Blake was involved.

WAIT A FUCKING MINUTE.

She's 36?!

I always assumed she's like in her 40s, cause she's fat, frumpy and gives off that "I'll eventually get around to have kids, I guess" catlady vibe.

Militaries in BT are allergic to standardization
This comment made me come up with what I think would be a good topic for conversation. If you were able to pick one mech for each distinct role with the restriction of only that mech can be used in only that role, then what would you pick?

My first pick would be the Thunderbolt as the main line combat unit for a standard combined arms battlegroup. It's always seemed to me that it's in a good spot between armor, firepower, and mobility.

Awesome 8R for every role. Yes, including scout. Just to make the Marik-bros mad.

All joking aside, the Awesome 8Q is a pretty amazing direct fire support as is the Devastator, the Catapult or Archer are pretty neat heavy indirect fire support units.
In terms or mediums I guess I'd go with the Griffin or Shadow Hawk (though the 2H is probably the worst layout ever, the 2Hb is fucking amazing).
With light mechs, I really like the versatility and EW-capabilities of the Raven (The Raven 2X has no EW, but it packs a punch).

I think for general purpose, the Atlas and Orion are pretty well rounded in their respective weight-class. With variants, you also get a lot of neat options such as the Atlas 7K to slap someone's shit on longer ranges. But even there the Highlander is a tad more mobile and has pretty neat variants, and the Cyclops is a cool command mech, so that'd be a really hard choice between the four mechs.

Gimme a Firestarter as my anti-infantry/occasional war crime unit of choice any day of the week.

You know what really pisses me off about that "we're mercenaries, not assassins!" line? She's not a mercenary. The company picked her and her crew up along with the Argo, but she's got as much say on the crew's fighting business as the cooks in the mess hall.

I'll do skirmishers: Crab. Either the 27 or the 30. Just a fun little gremlin running around the second line, flinging lasers or PPCs at people. And the 30 gets ECM and and iC3, for when you really feel like being annoying.

If we're going with Lights for the role, Panther. Doesn't move fast, doesn't have to. Park that thing at the edge of a forest and just watch it attract a disproportionate amount of fire away from your frontliners.
