Yeah, but if you ever wind up in close quarters the extra missile armament on the QKD will serve you a lot better than a large laser.
Besides, if you're using YAW/YARWE you get MML's once the Jihad hits, and oh boy oh boy are those fun since you get a freaking SRM-9 with Artemis, and you can't fit that shit in the head, but you sure can in a side torso. Plus there's the hero QKD that gets ballistic hardpoints in the arms.

lol, joking I'm cool with anyone who plays in any form, also you're right in a lot of times I rather hit with crit seeking at times they are close. But, ML/SRM same range so assuming 1v1 a LL might be better. Granted this is a lot of variables, so just friendly teasing. Even in MW5 you have the LL-SB helps a lot for short range fights.
Grass hopper often is jumping and always tankier, so yeah in it's base I probably still rather brawl in it, vs little more fire power, assuming stock for stock the QKD has 5 tubes more to cloes in while the hopper has a LL also. Close same brawl power.
In mwo, people seem to love twin MRM30 builds.
I stumbled across my old Mechwarrior 3 rip and decided to make it work on my modern system. luckily there are quite a few tutorials floating around out there.
I forgot how honestly fun this game was. My Bushwacker is a monster and for the time the graphics are pretty decent. I should have the Xpac somewhere too. when I get a moment I will scrounge the old HDs for it.
If you can find a copy I definitely recommend giving it a go.
You brag about all that and don't tell us how you did it? I know you said how tos but what one did you use? I have my disk still. It had so many mechs and a much stronger (and breakable) mechlab.
TBH until 5, I don't feel autocannons were very good.
If I wanted to constrain myself to IS tech only like TT I could see myself using MML instead of ATMs. MML has the added bonus of being able to use both special ammos of LRM and SRM. So acid, inferno, bee, fascam, swarm ect. So MML are the most versatile of weapons though like most rpgs outright killing the enemy is usually always better than debuffing them.
Only rpgs that actually made status effects good, but also necessary were the old SMT games (No SMT not persona).
ATMs aren't IS tech reeeee. Yeah MMLs having BOTH kinds of ammo and their specials alone is worth it. The mixed blessing, I consider 4 tons a MIN for any MML unless you are a light with a 3 tuber. Then you just need to know what you're doing before deploying. With an mid size MML you can get at least lvl 1 smoke have little peppering, then when they close burn em or blast em, or niches for either.
Received my Kickstarter product I put in a year and a half ago. Miniatures look good and the Hatamoto design is great as well as the Blood Asp. When I get them painted I'll post some pics.
