Bayonetta 3 - What Moon themed song they gonna pick this time

This is a couple months old but I thought it was hilarious enough to post here. A black Polygon writer (who formerly worked at Vice and MTV) is baffled by the idea that a large breasted attractive woman would appeal to straight men. She got so much backlash for posting it she deleted it but 661 people liked this post. Who exactly else would she meant to appeal to?

More people are jealous of the tomboy-ish librarian lady that just so happens to look like a MILF.

Who would have thought?

I’m actually thinking about buying all three Bayonetta games in time before Christmas, but I was shocked that Bayonetta 3 did not win anything for The Game Awards. It makes me wonder if the voice actor controversy had anything to do with it not winning anything, even if one doesn’t care that much for that awards show.

Came across this interview on this so called gaming site.

The last bits particularly made me laugh when they ask Kamiya about Elon Musk buying Twitter.

IGN: As a heavy Twitter user, do you have any concerns regarding Elon Musk's purchase of the company?

Kamiya: "None in particular at the moment. My impression is that someone with a clear idea of what he wants to do with Twitter now owns the company. I hear he's very much a person of action as well."

IGN: How do you feel about blue checkmarks on Twitter? Now that they can be paid for, would you consider shelling out for one?

Kamiya: "I think it's more interesting if I don't have a checkmark at all. Even if it means lots of fake accounts pretending to be me spring up, haha. I don't intend on ever getting one, whether you have to pay for it or not. I think of Twitter as like a pub or bar, where you say what you want to say, and everyone's on equal footing. I often see criticism saying that I should not be on Twitter, or that my account needs to be taken away from me, but please, just take that all straight to Elon Musk!"

Edit: Apologies was posting from mobile.

It’s slightly embarrassing to me that I’ve only just now realized that you can yellow lollipop through almost all of the gimmick sections.

Good news, Bayo fans:

Hideki Kamiya says Platinum could make as many as 9 Bayonetta games

THE VICE PRESIDENT SAYS HE “CAN’T CONCEIVE THE BAYONETTA SERIES EVER ENDING”

PlatinumGames vice president Hideki Kamiya has expressed his desire to make a fourth and fifth Bayonetta game.

In an interview with IGN Japan, Kamiya was explaining his belief that creators need to “have their own convictions” and make the games they want to make instead of what the majority of players want, when he used Bayonetta as an example.

“Taking the Bayonetta IP as an example, while I have a structure in mind for where the story is going to go far into the future, players are only able to pass judgment on the story that they have at the moment,” he said.

“They’ll say things like the series is going to end because the creators have no love for it. I want people to know that’s obviously not how it is. I love Bayonetta more than anyone. How could I not love Cereza and all the other characters I’ve fostered for this long?”

Asked if this meant he wanted to make more Bayonetta games in the future, Kamiya replied: “I personally can’t conceive the Bayonetta series ever ending.

“I want to make a Bayonetta 4 and Bayonetta 5, and I intend on pitching them to the company. We often talk internally about how we could make nine of them.

“I want people who love the Bayonetta series to believe me when I say I’m not going to do anything that will betray the player.”

Last week PlatinumGames and Nintendo announced a surprise Bayonetta prequel during The Game Awards.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will be released on March 17, and tells the story of Cereza, a young Umbra Witch who would go on to become the Bayonetta in the recently released third game.
Apologies for the text formatting, I'm on mobile at the moment.

You can tell who played the games by how shocked they are at this and her being shorter than Luka
Bayonetta “fans” are hilariously easy to spot, there’s so many of them.

“Bayonetta isn’t a lesbian?! She ended up with Luka and not Jeanne?! Isn’t she supposed to be a lot taller than him???”

Bayo2 is shit for various reasons on the gameplay side but its story isnt great either. Its biggest failing is not developing the relationship between Bayo and Luka there's clearly romantic undertones toward the end of 1 where Luka comes into his own and becomes reliable and the sequels just kept him in the comic relief role. Luka also wasn't just a clumsy doofus he was specifically nervous around bayo which again was part of his development as a character.

Luka's role being diminished to bumbling comic relief in the second game always felt off, I remember thinking, "That's all the screentime he gets? Really??" Obviously he served as comic relief in the first game too, but that was balanced out with the tension between him and Bayonetta and how taking care of Cereza eventually brought them closer. It's understandable in hindsight why the Bayonetta/Jeanne fans assumed he got friend-zoned in 2.

The fact that they failed to deliver on Luka again is one of 3's biggest flaws. I think what really screwed his character was how they shifted gears to focusing on Viola. We needed less pointless segments of her chasing him around and more of Luka actually getting fleshed out, both with Bayonetta and his fae powers that had absolutely zero foreshadowing.

It's obvious that Bayonetta and Luka are set up to be together in the first game, but then 2 and 3 fucked up the continuity by making Luka go from suddenly irrelevent comic relief guy to destined lover who can turn into a werewolf because fuck you.

3's story sucks through and through viola is anime-tier trash writing, I still don't get why Luka is a werewolf after playing 3 and Origins or at least the explanation given doesn't make sense.

This isn't the first time Kamiya's characters have been mis-interpretted in a sequel. DMC2 replacing trish with lucia for the sidekick role as if Dante is like Bond having a girl of the week each time was stupid. In fact Viewtiful Joe's ending seems deliberately written to make sure that didn't happen again.
