Who the hell in the media "bothsidesed" anything, you pencil-necked queer? Anything remotely unflattering about the Holy Fauci Ouchie was suppressed and mocked. Stephen Colbert had dancing syringes for the "vax scene". You expect blow jobs and praise for the number of boosters you get.
Nothing made me turn against the vax except you and your cabal of attention-whoring, money-grubbing Munchies.

Ben is lying to his readers. Nowhere in the NYT statement does it say they can't take sides or aren't taking sides. It merely states that NYT policy is that you can't align with advocacy groups and attack other NYT employees for their journalism. This isn't a statement about "taking sides" (or not) it's a statement about actions, Ben deliberately conflates the two to justify disinformation and harassment by the side he personally favors, a delusional fascist cult. Ben Collins is such a moron he doesn't even realize that his constant support of disinformation and harassment while claiming he's an advocate against both reveals what he really is, and Allah forgive me for saying it, a journalist.

He lights some people on fire and pisses them out and it's a wonder to behold.
But the premise is that you can't have an advocacy org (especially a controversial one) embedded inside a news org and grading the news org on adherence to a particular ideology.
I know a bunch of real, actual journalists and there are times when reporting the facts necessarily involves putting out an article that takes a "side." For example, reporting that a lot of Europeans have backed rather sharply off the practice of putting kids on blockers does imply that some countries who are assumed to be otherwise on the Left when it comes to these issues think there are serious concerns. Not reporting that would also be taking a side. Ben seems to think that journos should keep their mouths shut for fear of hurting people's feelings.
I'm not afraid of hurting Ben's feelings so I will call him a pussy right here. He's afraid that if he says anything that's not in line with the leftist dogma he's going to be the victim of a pile on. He's a fucking coward and I hope he gets fired and has to go write mediocre Substack pieces for $85 a month.
