Careercow Ben Collins / Benjamin Thomas Collins / @oneunderscore__ - Journo Scum

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
What the fuck does he actually mean this isn't a rhetorical question.
It's just soy-filled hand-wringing. Obviously he doesn't expect or want them to do anything whatsoever about January 6, some day that doesn't even deserve the 9/11 treatment in the slightest.

Ben has been temporarily suspended from NBC/MSNBC for inaccurate/biased reporting.

I don't care about Elon at all but I'm glad to see someone actually show people like him that you can't just fire off these angry tweets and expect to be taken seriously as a journalist.
that's what you get for being a lazy fuck and spending your time on twatter not fact checking shit.
:null::null::null::null::null::null:

The fact he thinks the Proud Boys should focus on Jan 6th at all is bizzare and shows how deranged he is. Does he mean they should be speaking against it? If so, why? Doesn't he love to say how they are all for it and evil because of it? Does he mean they should be defending themselves from the accusations they took part in it? Why? You don't go to defend yourself in court without begin summoned, actual courts aren't social media where if someone accuses you in public you can go and speak to a judge to assure you are innocent and insist you did nothing, there needs to be a suit and trial for that to happen.

What the fuck does he actually mean this isn't a rhetorical question.
He thinks you should only be talking about the topics you're told to talk about by the media. All your interests should be determined by what your betters tell you they should be. I've seen no evidence that he thinks anything different and he keeps making this argument so I don't think I'm casting aspersions on Ben here.

This is going to be one of those things where they eventually have to investigate his stories and not a single one is built on any credible evidence isn't it? Like Jayson Blair and all those others.

I'd love nothing more than to be proven wrong, but I'd guess we could go through Ben's published work from his current arc, find every checkable claim, only to find that he can link to wikipedia or some literal who that said it first, so he's not responsible for actually making it up which is what they got Jayson on. To Jayson-nail him you'd need an outright lie said by nobody else first and supported by literally nothing.

Ben is typically smart enough to let some unreliable lunatic say what he plans to say, or let some lunatic put it on wikipedia, before he tells the lie himself and hits "publish". Doesn't make it less of a lie, but it sure shifts the blame around.

Edit: Oh look, one story gets lightly prodded and a lunatic that Ben uses to escape blame for his lies before he publishes them fell out. :story:
Great find. :semperfidelis:

He's not that smart, because he pays the lunatic.

All it takes is someone with the money for a team of lawyers to connect him to that when he defames them, and the fact that he paid the liar who he based his fake news story on is probably enough to establish actual malice. He had to have known the story was bullshit because he literally paid someone to lie to back it up.

So Twitter spokesperson talks to Ben Collins, Ben Collins writes an article based on the claim, the FBI ask Twitter about the claim, Twitter denies the claim.

From the newest Twitter Files, it's obvious that the FBI seizes on anything it can that will give it a reason to intervene. They were really desperate to find "foreign interference" that would justify increased censorship or get Twitter to give them more info on users without having to go through the legal process.

Which means they are either so desperate that they are seizing on Ben Collins' poorly written paranoid delusions or they know that Ben's source is probably one of their former FBI agents who work at Twitter. Which would make the whole thing a disgusting stitch-up where they are laundering lies through patsies and collaborators like Ben to pressure American companies to betray their customers.

I hate the antichrist. And fuck you, Chan, for befouling the name of Elvis.

I looked at that NBC article mentioned in the e-mail from the FBI that noor1717 helpfully linked, other than the unnamed Twitter spokesperson the only other source for Ben's article is a random person doing "independent research" on Russian bots:

Great find. Disgusting and incestuous. The Twitter spokesperson Ben quoted is either under Josh's spell or the FBI's.

I recognized the author of the glowing Josh profile because I heard the name for the first time today. Donie O'Sullivan comes up in the Twitter Files. His name was included in the "war game" the Aspen Institute ran them through on what could happen if, say, Hunter Biden's laptop leaked in, say, October 2020. They primed Twitter to view it as hacked material.

Do you think they pulled these names out of a hat for realism or because they are known entities who will behave in predictable ways? (Maybe not entirely predictable, since he doesn't have a "twist" like the other two journalists do in the fanfiction.)

Greenwald recently pointed out how often these fake news stories rely on completely made-up "experts" in fields that don't even exist. Even in this realm of bogus expertise, "researcher" is about the bottom of the barrel. Literally any Kiwi Farmer could claim to be a "lolcow researcher" with as much or more credibility than these buffoons who apparently only exist to be cited in fake news, since nobody has ever met them in reality.

Donie O'Sullivan is also associated with Keffals.

Here's a bonus clip of Keffals name-dropping one of the journalists that was banned on Twitter. He wrote the CNN puff piece.
"I'm so glad that I just remembered I have Donie O'Sullivan's cell number so I just said that he fucking rules..."

Here's an archive of the CNN video as well.

Ben has returned to TV on an interview on the 19th which was posted to twitter by Sarah Reese Jones
A whopping 3 day suspension.
Counting the "uh"s, "um"s and "er"s: 8 in 51 seconds, and a classic Ben Collins "wait what am I talking about?" right out of the gate: "A lot of scary stuff about um about the about the microchips"

Also why is the URL for his Medium profile @josh_emerson? 🤔
Same for a number of accounts, he was the "small business owner" of the Emerson Theater in Indianapolis (no longer, appears to be some kind of music venue) and I guess named his accounts during that period:

Starting to suspect there's some whole faggot network of these journalists who think randoms on Twitter are somehow actual sources of news. This dude e-mails them about random accounts he thinks are Russian bots and becomes an anonymous source (lmao) for some reporting. Keffals makes up shit about a random internet forum and these reporters make it a news story. All because these faggot journalists believe in some insane conspiracy theory.

They all deserved to be banned and suspended because it's obvious for anyone with half a brain that the things they're "reporting" is not real reporting at all: it's all meanness and spite caused by their dislike of Elon Musk.

What's the purpose of tracking where Elon Musk (or his jet, car, scooter, whatever) is? He's not committing any crime, he's not part of any criminal investigation. It's because they don't like him. They report and track people because they don't like them. There is really no purpose of going to someone's grandma and ask her what she thinks of her granddaughter posting stuff on twitter.
Oh yeah, it's totally out of spite. And its not exactly the civilized behavior we should expect out of journalists. Journos are scum, but the elonjet accounts are hilarious. Elon and his orbiters think they are saving the planet. Yet the guy burns millions of tons of carbon just so he can go to a soccor game in a shithole country with his boyfriend Jared. And the guy has the balls to think US public airways are his. All the Elon jet account publishes is publicly available flight data, that's it! Elon using doxxing policy to ban the public flight records of his private jet is so out of touch, its just the best out come.
