While GTA online itself is bullshit because it expects you to either play it like a full-time job or fork over real life money, it still baffles me that Rockstar went out of their way to make sure you won't be doing much grand theft auto in a game called grand theft auto. You can only sell stolen cards once every 20 minutes and it can't exceed the value of 7500$.
Urban Chaos Riot Response is a game with some innovative features for its time (2006) and is initially pretty fun but then every level feel the same. If you played 10 minutes you basically played the whole game. Sometimes the game is too dark and you are encouraged to use your thermal visor to see better (in a dark shade of purple) but the enemies can see in the dark without any special gear. Sometime you kill a civilian because they ran between you and an enemy holding a chainsaw while you were bashing them with a riot shield. There's also a train level with a npc you need to defend on each end and you're gonna hear them scream for help while you're helping the other.
So far the biggest bullshit I've encountered is a hostage situation that's right behind a door, but the door is kicked open by the enemy holding the hostage. If you get too close, the enemy panics and shoot the hostage. Yeah you went too close to the door didn't you? Anyone playing this game is going to have the hostage killed by accident on their first try, which results in a game over. "Fortunately", there's a checkpoint right before this happen so you don't have to restart the whole level. But the game has secondary objectives that earn you medals to unlock content and finishing a level without using a checkpoint is one such objective. They designed this so you have to fail at least once and have an excuse to restart the level if you want to collect the fucking medal. I'm not trying to get them so idc but the fact that they consciously did this disgusts me and has earned them my spit.
