Biggest bullshit in a video game

I cant believe GSC Gameworld thought it would be smart to not make 4k textures and other languages a separate, free download.

The game is 150 gigs and just got an update that's 110 GIGS!

I now need to somehow scrounge up enough money to buy an exterior ssd for one fucking video game.

I hate modern vidya.
This in their own worlds is not "sustainable", but no one actually cares about it. People love Luigi for a reason.

All that said, the fight is meant for you navigate through by listening rather than eye sight which is what the boss fight expects from you and when you do is fairly easy. Still bullshit though if youre doing it for the first time.
Fuck having anything music related challenge in gaming, a mainly visual medium. Unless it's a rhythm game.

VR games, I was playing Budget Cuts the other day and there's so many glitches it's almost unplayable.

Almost getting to Elite Smash only for some conveniently matched faggot maining Samus or Ness to show up and literally Spam B away my hard-earned GSP.

Finally played stalker 2. Good game so far. The radial menu is awkward.

The ui sucks though they got rid of the the cool diagetic atmospheric hud of stalker past and replaced it with stupid modern day simplified bullshit.

It has no soul the hud.

I'm 90 emblems deep into Sonic Adventure 2, and while I hated them casually, trying to clear the optional missions of some of the later levels has only intensified my hated of THESE FUCKING THINGS:

I really want to know what was going on during the design phase of this asshole.
  • "Let's see, we need to give this guy an attack... How about arms that can reach out a mile wide and lock onto the player's position so that you can't approach them from the sides or run away from them."
  • "Okay, so the trick is to approach them from the front, right?"
  • "No, no, let's also give them laser vision so that if you try to approach them from the front, they also hit you."
  • "...Okay, sure..."
  • "Oh, and let's also make sure they have the ability to sink their weak point into their bodies, so that mech characters who have no mobility and giant hitboxes have about a five frame window to attack it before they get hit with unavoidable damage."
It's like they gave him every single bullshit power imaginable. Trying to get 100 rings in levels that feature these things is an exercise of luck and patience more than skill. God help you if you're trying to A-Rank it as well.

Those fuckers were annoying, but they never got in my way in the 100 ring missions
I had to restart Final Chase's 100 ring mission dozens of fucking times thanks to these guys, which is how I learned how they operate. It also doesn't help that Sonic Adventure 2 is held together on hopes and dreams, so scripted sequences don't always work as intended, such as when I get 98 rings before falling down a hole to a series of dash pads that lead into a rail, but I was slightly off-center so the dash pads just sent me into a death pit instead.

Oh, and the cherry on top is that after finally completing the nightmarish gauntlet of Artificial Chaos, tricky and precise platforming, and broken scripted segments, the game gets to rub it in my face that I'm the one who sucks balls.

Forced Co-op/Anti solo player game design in games. Like helldivers 2. Not everyone has a clique of friends to play every game with. Yet any time you bring up valid complaints they just get shouted down by said cliquish assholes brigading and censoring any suggestions to make games more accessible to solo players. The best you can hope for is just some impartial randoms who refuse to communicate but also just want to play the game with no bullshit.

None of them will invite new people to their clique either, so they prove all the condemnation of such bullshit justified because you can't even play the game when you can be booted at any time by some chucklefuck who thinks its funny to do this to as many other players as possible until they get a fist to the face IRL. Only then do they start to learn some god damn civility. Yeah the internet has always been filled with these types, but games didnt let them dictate the experience for "randos" and "outsiders" with access to a kick feature.

As an allegory: MW2 matchmade lobbies and other pre-2010s games didnt have a "boot player from lobby" option outside of private matches so they were forced to leave if they simply didnt like someone and you could still enjoy the game, but modern day games almost entirely take place within private matches and too many retards are more than happy to abuse that privilege.
Destiny 2 is the biggest offender of this, its one thing to lock raid weapons behind the raid, its another thing to disable matchmaking in harder tier nightfalls despite there being no mechanics that require communication

Please for the love of god do not just kill shit and read what you need to do. Just had a match where the only reason my team won was because they finally noticed I was telling them how to clear the room we were in and the other team just didn't bother doing the objective. Admittedly, this was a common problem ten years ago, but it feels like it's gotten worse over the past few years.

FUCK YOU STUPID LAZY SCS FAGGOTS LEARN TO FUCKING CODE

Like, it's bad enough working against the dumb shit AI that gets worse every year, but you have to fight against the shitty GPS system giving you ambiguous instructions, too?

For those unaware, due to the space compression junctions are designed in a way that you can't easily get back onto a highway once you leave. If you take the wrong exit, you either reload a save or put at least 3 hours onto your journey.

The Farming Simulator franchise, primarily centered around driving machinery up and down straight lines for hours on end, only gained the lane assist feature with the newest title (FS25). This series has existed since 2011 and it genuinely took them 14 years to implement it.

Basically lane assist makes it so that a field is divided into rows matching the width of your equipment, like if my combine has a width of 4 meters it'll divide the field into 4-meter wide rows, plus the headlands (on the edges). You select a lane, hold the accelerator & manage the gears, and the game does the steering for you.

I cannot fucking explain how annoying it is to play the older titles without this feature. Driving in a perfectly straight line is a lot harder than it sounds, especially when playing with a controller. I've had it happen where I think I've finished cultivating a field and then the map says there's a dozen tiny little patches that I missed.

Problem is that FS25 is a fucking horrible game otherwise. It runs at 30 FPS even on the Xbox Series X, while FS22 ran at a smooth 60. The game's developer never provided an explanation for this. Also even though each "new" version of the game is really just an update of the old one, mod developers have to manually port equipment over. If you liked a certain tractor in the old game there's no guarantee it'll get ported.

I have been playing through the original Rage recently and it has some of the most annoying and bullshit enemy design in any FPS I have ever seen.

A lot of the enemies are melee focused and have been programmed to literally bounce off the walls and ceilings like they are on fucking springs. When they are not bouncing around they are up close and running circles around you. The game has no viable melee option for the player character and no FOV slider in the options so you end up just spinning in circles and giving yourself nausea trying to catch these fuckers. They aren't even a big threat most of the time, I've literally let go of the controls multiple time and they've not been able to kill me.

The game also commits the cardinal sin of any FPS - bullet sponge enemies. I am playing on hard so maybe its different on lower difficulties but this game is one of the worst examples of this. Its one thing when it takes an entire mag or two from an assault rifle to down a basic enemy but when you get a clean headshot, blood squirts out, and the enemy reacts like they were just bitten by a mosquito and keep fighting it really boils my piss.

I was hoping maybe this game was better than people gave it credit for and a diamond in the rough given the developer but I can see why it was shit on when it came out. Its painfully average and has very little to offer.

Getting stunlocked/downed over, and over, and over again so you cant do shit for 10-30 seconds.
In any game really.

The biggest bullshit I encountered was the RE8/Village plot twist.
That Ethan has been dead since the beginning of Resident Evil 7.
