Biggest bullshit in a video game

That 30+ minute bullet hell sequence that is the leviathan boss fight in Nier Automata is fucking horrible. Plus since it's a Taro game there's a solid chance he made it suck on purpose as a dumb metaphor for everything being 10x harder when your menstruating or whatever.

I'm not leaning in, the world is bending around me.
Ahhh, so you're an earthbender.

I agree that it went on too long, but it wasn't really difficult to complete.

@Flexo said he'll fight you in a 1v1 to the death, he thinks he'll win because he's 40% Dolomite.
You're 40%. I'm 42% dolomite because I was constructed with some higher quality materials after they saw how crappy your face was!

Nah, I'm just joshing ya. You alright - though you'd suck as president!

The spider woman boss fight in The Evil Within. The fight consists of you shooting these little targets to activate animations to damage her, but the aiming feels very sluggish and unresponsive on console. Additionally, you have to try to shoot them while she's chasing you around, and she's incredibly fast, so all the while you have to contend with the game's motion blur as well (unless you turn it off completely), making it even harder to see. Also, the game is incredibly dark and there's this film grain effect, so seeing anything is like looking through glasses caked in dirt and covered in scratches.

Overall, it's a pain in the ass.

I have PTSD from playing Dallas Quest on a Tandy TRS-80. That stupid monkey, the tobacco pouch...argh

ALSO! The Interbank Incident! My copy had a glitch that made the game freeze right at the end! No matter what decisions I made, it locked up. So much frustration.

I thought of something else, unskippable tutorials. It always happens to me, I decide I'm going to revisit a game only to have to do the 30 minute or more tutorial level.

It's even worse if it's an rpg that will continually have tutorials. It's the 5th time I've been through the game, I don't need to be told this shit again!
Every play Final Fantasy XIII? The first half of the game, like 10-12 hours or so, is basically one long unskippable tutorial. Terrible.

Ghost of Tsushima is fucking cancer about this. You can be 30 hours into the game on the last island, and if you hit an enemy with the wrong stance, the game will pause everything for 10 seconds to remind you you should switch to the proper stance for that enemy. Look, I know what stance to use, that spear guy sucker punched me and I accidentally tried to retaliate with moon stance because I messed up which direction I was attacking into. Dont call me dumb game.

You can beat her conventionally without using the gimmick. Two grenades and three explosive bolts will put her down.

It's an easy silver trophy too.
