What Sig said was legally incitement to violence. He committed an actual crime. He named a specific time, place, and target, and said he specifically was going to do it.

I think what pushed it over the line is that there's an actual event coming up where a shooting could theoretically happen. So that combined with stated intent is what probably riled up the feds.
