Blizzard attempts to take up Biowares Mantle

In the most recent expansion, an Elven Kingdom had their leader become a puppet of the Legion, the resistance fights back, lead and organized by the affluent nobles, with one of them saying at the end of the repeatable quest. "They didn't realize they were on the wrong side of history"

Probably just co-incidence though.

Of course it is! Meanwhile, the fan favorite and Man of the People (or at least, his people) Genn Greymane is being treated like a dumbass for trying to interfere with Sylvanas, who suffers from Compulsive Backstabbing Syndrome and apparently is using the Horde for her own personal gain. Someone who is so common as to know his own people by name and talk to them is going to be wrong no matter what.

And don't get me started on Illidan Christ, who specced into Mass Murder and Enslavement and is just misunderstood by the dopey white people.

I really hope this is just one of those minor things companies do to shut the SJWs up for a little while.

Metzen almost destroyed WoW with his Horde fanboyism and Marty-Stu self insert known not-so-affectionately as "Green Jesus". The handling of the Horde and Alliance before about mid-Mists of Pandaria was classic SJW stuff: the noble savages were once wronged by the white people, so the noble savages can do anything to the white people now and still be right, and the white people, even if only defending themselves, will always be wrong.

Chrisboi actually had balanced perspectives. It was that hack David Kossack who really forces that "orcs are the TRUE good guys" stuff.

How often do companies actually do things like this and end up either going bankrupt or laying off tons of employees anyway?

I wish we could go back to Warcraft 2's lore where the Orcs were demonworshipping bad guys who belonged on the cover of a death metal album. The new orcs are pretty awful.

I actually really like orcs from Vanilla to Wrath. They worked really well as harsh, independent survivalists in a world which hates them. Good Chaotic Neutral faction and served as good foils to the Tauren and Trolls.

I lost interest them probably by Mists, when they became actual bad guys but the game still kept telling me they were sympathetic. That's why the Iron Horde excited me. They were unapologetic bad guys instead of misunderstood tribals. Orcs can only be one, not both.

Meanwhile Bioware is focusing on bringing in anyone they can to work on three games, one of which is a new Dragon Age which will probably not be good since the old narrative director is gone.

They're also not hiring people outside of their city it seems which is limiting their prospects.
