I mean it must not be easy getting some dick when you spend all day hanging out with a dead, dried up blobfish and a poorly drawn monkey that looks like a dead, dried up blobfish in a monkey costume.View attachment 3438276
Either she is a slut or a coomer
Having nice clothes is a basic human right, bigotDoesn't this imply she spends more on clothes than she does on absolute necessities like food? Kind of a bad thing, if you have so little money.
This one is kinda relatable...nglView attachment 3438276

This particular comic is definitely my favorite. We know Blue-Haired Girl hates getting unsolicited compliments, but apparently when she’s attracted to somebody it’s totally okay for her to say blatantly fetishistic things to them. Not to mention the entire premise is absurd, as many women won’t even consider dating a man who is shorter than them. What guy even cares how tall a girl is View attachment 3362824
Methinks a ginger burned or showed up one of the authors back in high school. Maybe stole away a black girl from them. This is the first comic of theirs that genuinely confused me. What's the message they're trying to get across here? That white women fantasize about BBC? Or that white women shouldn't date outside their race?
The white woman in question also has to be ginger, of course. Can't have ginger people making more ginger people.
This sort of style has made the rounds in the more recent children's cartoons, particularly the ones that are made by the same kind of people as this comic. One might connect this to "calarts" or really just a general style typical of these types of twitter users. Get used to it.Earlier in the thread I mentioned how the passivity of the comics, in that they go out of their way to even make the evil straw man opponent character not feel offensive or alienating, and how that’s actually kind of a smart design choice worth credit. I’m going to extend another point; the art of these comics is actually pretty good, at least for a simple small-gag webcomic.
It’s clearly heavily anime-inspired, but it manages to have a touch to it where it doesn’t feel like most western-drawn anime imitation stuff does. Usually, when some western zoomer sped shits out their crappy animu art, it’s got an uncanny feel to it, as if it’s just not right. Something’s just off, like a Walmart store brand of the real thing. Maybe Westerners just can’t nail the expressions, the gesture, the emotion that japs can somehow capture in their anime/manga art. Whatever the case may be, Western “anime” art is usually creepy and uncanny, but for this Blobby comic, I don’t get that feeling.
It seems that they do this perhaps by making the forms and figures more simplistic and blocky, as well as using a thick, rough brush and simple colors. Also, it’s a team of three people (if I recall correctly?). So yeah, that’s that.
I think to me, it’s almost like how lefties talk about that GPrime guy who does the super detailed angry faces as having a nice art style, despite hating his views. Though it’s not like Blobby’s style is something crazy good or revolutionary. It’s just well developed and does the job it needs to do. I’d be interested in seeing how the artists’ earlier work looked in comparison.
It's pretty decent. You can tell the artist(s?) have gone to art school, know color theory and proportion, can frame things properly, and so on. But the style feels so fucking sanded down and simplified to the point it loses personality. It comes off as lazy too: half that shit feels like it was drawn with a shapes tool and they can't be assed to give backgrounds most of the time. You're right, I'm just disappointed in the wasted potential.I’m going to extend another point; the art of these comics is actually pretty good, at least for a simple small-gag webcomic.
This looks like it should be a comic about finding out you're a cuck rather than asexual. This person looks at other couples instead of them trying to force themselves to date people or try romance in some way, which is silly. If you're sexually attracted to two people in a relationship, then you're a filthy yaoi/yuri stan.
