The real issue is what does doing these palate swaps of the characters actually accomplish? Does it somehow bring it all into focus? Does it somehow change the story? Is the fact that Ariel in the new Disney movie black ruin it for you? If so you have issues. Sure it's totally going to suck like all of Disney's live action remakes of their classic cartoons. But making her black isn't the part that ruins it. At least, not for just that reason. The last panel is just so on the nose it's confusing and hilarious. Why does he just have a fucking baby bottle? It makes no sense in the context of the world.
I know that their logic applies to basically any raceswap, but the elves make me think of Amazon's LotR...which has been regarded as terrible. Going back to the Mermaid, that's likely to be terrible as well. But that doesn't matter, they just see non-white people and consoom, and fantasize about stabbing or babifying the "haters".
I’ve got major issues then, mate. The Little Mermaid is Danish, to portray her as anything but is incredibly insensitive and retarded. Any Dane that tells you otherwise is delusional. That and the erasure of redheads for ‘representation’ of niggers is a very real thing. There aren’t that many redheads in the world, and it effects my people (the Berbers) specifically, as we’re an incredibly small ethnic group that, like the Celtic peoples, have naturally occurring redheads. Even though Ariel is European, it’s nice for our daughters to have someone who resembles them in media. Is the fact that Ariel in the new Disney movie black ruin it for you? If so you have issues.
Yeah the world needs more redheads. And no I'm not kidding when I say that. Redheads are hot.Making Ariel black isn’t obviously the main issue here, it’s a conglomeration of virtue signaling, pushing progressive bullshit on kids like racemixing and racial hyper-awareness, and hypocrisy. That being said, Disney actively participating in ‘let’s make all redheads niggers!’ is pretty revolting.
The only reason anyone is defending this live-action Little Mermaid remake is specifically because the actress playing Ariel is black. Do you know how I know this? Because Disney has been making live-action remakes of its classic animated films for almost a decade now, and the consensus across the Internet up until now was that they were all soulless cash-grabs that failed to live up to the originals. They released a live-action Pinocchio remake the other week and barely anyone even noticed. The real issue is what does doing these palate swaps of the characters actually accomplish? I can't get angry over Disney making Ariel black. I can get angry with them remaking a cartoon that didn't need to be remade and including a black actress to score points solely with the woke crowd. It all comes down to intent.
To be fair, many times if guys have used seeing a woman they know with make up and she turns up without any the guys tend ask if she is okey. Not because they freaked out by her natural looks but because without make up she looks different. Often kinda more sick and tired because she isn't covering skin imperfections or making her eyes more intense. So they get bit worried like normal people when some looks off as that can signal of sickness or stressful events.Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's mostly women who give a shit if you're wearing makeup, not guys.
Blobby comics is 90% the artists imagining a guy, tricking themselves into believing that guy exists and getting mad about it. Then they vomit up a comic that has a dead fish sitting in the background contributing nothing or acting preachy.
Are all of the comments for their posts like this?

I'm surprised Twitter allows all of that, did the guidelines let up or something?
I'm not sure how they get away with it. The blobby people don't respond to comments, so who knows if they even read them.I'm surprised Twitter allows all of that, did the guidelines let up or something?
"Historians call people who were super close very good friends!!!"
You know something? I like a well done "Will they/won't they" story. They can be fun. I said well done though. Not this.
I always think of this everytime people start claiming that just because two people of the same sex are close/friends means that they must be gay."Historians call people who were super close very good friends!!!"
Look, I don't have a problem with the gays (the sane ones, at least). But not everything has to be gay, you fetishists.
The people who usually claim this honestly believe it. They've never had friends, never mind a close friend.I always think of this everytime people start claiming that just because two people of the same sex are close/friends means that they must be gay.
The worst part is when they retcon people into being gay or trans even if canonically they've been portrayed as straight. It's a sickness when you get down to it. The need for everybody to be like you."Historians call people who were super close very good friends!!!"
