I'm pretty sure the cartharsis is feminizing and humiliating the man by treating him like he needs your support to deal with his girlfriend slapping him, since these people are obsessed with men and power dynamics.

It isn't even a matter of abuse being abuse regardless of gender, it's that if someone almost half your weight slaps you and you have a problem with it, you should firmly tell them to never do that again instead of immediately seizing the opportunity to cry to other people like a passive aggressive faggot. That goes even if it's another guy punching you.
