If you just treat the Cafe as Credits/AP printer, you will be bottlenecked by having to clear increasingly higher-level missions for those upgrade cores, rather than the amount of furniture. Assuming that "special interaction furniture" does indeed increase the chance that a Student appears in the cafe, the MinMax choice would be to load up your cafe with stuff that your primarily utilized combatants like.
Aside from the collection/completionism aspect, the practical impact of the event furniture seems to be that they attract one of the event characters to the Cafe. This allows you to engage with one of the more sus ways of increasing your Students' stats - raising your "Relationship" rank with them.
Examples:
Part-timer Juri = Pancake Tea Table
Casual Sena = Medicine Organizer White Table
Part-timer Sumire = Assisted Pull-up Machine
Rei = Millenium Batting Machine
I already grinded furniture in the craft to get maximim comfort, don't know if there's more variables to make AP printing even more efficient. Getting the furniture for event characters only helps if you own them, plus you can just invite them.

Nope, as long as your cafe is at the comfort cap you don't have to do anything else

I only figured this out some time ago, the "invitation ticket" only goes on a 20-hour cooldown so it should be used whenever it's up to invite Students who have an unique gear piece locked behind Bond Level 15, like Hina and Yuuka. The two Cafes have separate tickets with their own cooldowns.

Also according to one Wiki article I've read, it's not even "confirmed" that Students appear more often when a furniture, they have a special interaction with, is present. But anecdotally my Cafe, where I just maxed Comfort, resulted in these two having the highest Bond Levels of all my Students:

Yeah, the first interactable furniture I got was Izuna's, and she shows up all the time, at least once every 36 hours, then there's the fact that I have the 3rd highest bond with her despite never giving her a single gift. Way too many people have experiences with interactable furniture like that for it to be mere coincidence.

I'm not sure what wiki you were reading, it's confirmed that when interactable furniture is present, students that use it are more likely to appear in the cafe. This can be useful if you're trying to raise the bond level of a particular student, or want to see Antique Seraphim or Dress Hina perform, but if you just want random students in your cafe all the time it's not recommended to place interactable furniture.

5500 comfort in cafe 1 and 5000 comfort in cafe 2 is definitely attainable without interactable furniture, you just need to place down lots of trophies and random shit you get from crafting

On the topic of the cafe, I've fallen for this ruse a concerning number of times. The first couple times I figured it was just that she's easy to gloss over on a small phone screen but I'm still falling for it on the PC version.

Reminds me of how US Army once produced a basically non-functioning camouflage pattern. Designers failed to realize that camo is only really going to within a rather specific distance (too close and it's a lost cause unless it's some kind of active "invisibility cloak" or happens to match the terrain perfectly, too far and the target wouldn't be seen anyway.) It's easy to scoff at that picture, but if you're instead looking at a non-zoomed Cafe (even on a big screen) it actually working makes sense.

Fun fact: the stereotypical ninja outfit was actually something that theatre stagehands wore when they needed to do stuff on the stage but weren't supposed to present in the narrative. If the play involved a ninja invisibly sneaking past guards, having him dress like a stagehand (that audience is supposed to pretend isn't there) was almost a meta-humour of sorts. Real ninjas disguised them as regular people (peasants/servants) and if "kunoichi" (female ninjas) were real, their cover identity was likely a courtesan (and presumably they would be a spy, rather than an assassin, at least vast majority of the time.)

What are you talking about? "She?" I don't see anyone in this picture.

Saori Dress next banner. Not limited so feel free to skip her unless you like Saori in a dress or you're desperate for another sonic/purple striker since she's 4 cost EX aoe damage dealer striker.

This also means 0068 from Opera With Love aka Dress Aru/Kayoko event rerun, which also means its yet another Problem Solver 68 shenanigans and a grim reminder that we would never get Dress Mutsuki or Haruka.

A: dress kayoko and dress aru are in that banner too, Kayoko is too maintenance intensive but dress aru is a fantastic banner and is worth it

B: who knows, dress mutchuki and dress haruka night happen next year. İ mean gourmet new year got archived but we got an izumi new year anyway so there's still some precedent

Note that Saori uses up Arius Blu-Rays and Tech Notes. I personally have exactly zero Arius students and thus I could dump all I have on her without any (short-term) opportunity cost. Your experience may wary, especially if you've spent real money on the gacha.

For a comparison, even with the recent event offering Millenium stuff, I'm currently torn between several of their students on who to invest in.

Dont worry about it, the only airus students worth their salt are atsuko and swimsuit saori

Is she worth it if I already have Ako?
There's a good reason I keep harping on about characters who perform 2 or more important roles at once or striker characters who perform the traditional role of a special character (like Koharu, Kokona, Casual Sena with their healing or Camp Hare with her ATK hyperbuff). Flexibility in teambuilding is very important in all forms of content, but especially raids. While her crit buffing isn't nearly as potent as Ako's and her cost support isn't as good as Ui's, the combination of these two still makes her really strong, if you use her EX on a character whose EX costs at least 5, you effectively buff their Crits for free, which means that she silently performs an additional important role, which is skill cycling, for free. If the EX cost is 7 or more, you effectively get paid to use her EX. If you upgrade NYFuuka's EX skill to 5, it starts costing 2 EX, meaning that EX costs of 5 now effectively pay you to use her skill. This also means that you open up another slot for a much needed character, be it another debuffer for Greg, or a DEF shredder for bosses with a lot of DEF like Binah, or another unit with a crowd control skill for Hod, or another healer if your units are squishy etc.

Keep in mind, some of these versatille students aren't worth it due to their low numbers but most of them are. If unsure, just look up some video or tier list website those are usually bang on the money when it comes to which characters are good and which aren't and they explain how.
TLDR: Ako goes into a Special slot. Dress Aru goes into Striker slot. There are 4 Striker slots and only 2 Special slots. Meta leans toward picking one hypercarry and building rest of the team around buffing her.

In case this helps anyone, here's how I cleared the current level 50 Total Assault (Hovercraft, Hardcore) without any assistants and with seemingly decent score, at level 61.
Depending on difficulty and team composition, Hovercraft can be done with a single team but it's really built for two different teams for the two phases. I'm not an expert, that and lots of other information is based on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqsnWcW-wdk

My account is fully F2P and only units listed, that I specifically pulled for, are Fuuka (New Year) and Hare (Camp). I may have had better than average gacha luck, at least when it comes to this encounter specifically.

Phase 1 is built around the gimmick of having to apply CC to the Swimsuit Wakamo Boss.
-Fubuki: welfare unit from Event Recap that has free/automatic/consistent stun)
-Tsubaki: Taunt counts as CC)
-Wakamo (Swimsuit): Ironically her EX makes her one of the best units for this phase - trust no one, not even yourself)
-Reisa: Taunt and a DEF reduction)
-Fuuka (New Year)
-Serina: The Boss has an instant-kill mechanic but also does lot of regular damage. Serina's EX is a cheap heal that, if nothing else, allows you to rotate EX cards.
Rotation priority: Fuuka on Wakamo -> Wakamo on Boss, Tsubaki and Reisa, Serina if needed, Fubuki's EX basically shouldn't be used?
My current strategy is to kind of just accept that one of the tanks will die near the end. Can maybe be avoided if you actively reposition with Serina.

In terms of score, the most effective way to swap teams is to forfeit right before the Phase 1 Wakamo hits zero HP and Re-enter with the second team.

Phase 2 is mostly just a single target DPS race with some gimmicks that benefit from DEF bypass and large hitcount.
-Mika: the meta hypercarry for this encounter, everyone on top 3 leaderboard has used her in one team
-Maki: does decent DPS on her own and applies a major DEF debuff, time EX skills after she land her grenade)
-Hare (Camp): acts more or less as a 3rd Special unit whose here to use her EX on Mika)
-Neru: her EX skill is good for the hit count gimmick I think
-Ayane: encounter does AoE damage, I also invested a bit to unlock her 3* max HP buff)
-Ayane (Swimsuit): another free "welfare" unit, but also present in the top 3 leaderboard entries.

Depends on your formation, sometimes I just wanna go unga Bunga YOLO DPS, at that point Rio+Kisaki+Dress Aru is the way to go. Another scenario is when one of your special slots is occupied by a specialist, such as a healer like Hanako, a reposition student like track haruna, a nuke student like Nagisa or a tactical support vehicle like Iroha. İn those instances the flexibility afforded by having students like camp hare and dress aru is very noice

Oh yeah since I did a lil' writeup on all the welfare students from Event Recaps earlier in the thread, they added NY Junko to the Event Recaps recently and I forgot to do a writeup on her back then.

Honestly, there's not much to write about, what you see is what you'd expect. New Years Junko is far from being terrible but not she is not insanely good either. She has a very cheap 2 cost EX with a small AoE that does decent damage, her basic skill makes her do a lot of damage to a single enemy, her enhanced skill buffs her own attack speed and her sub skill buffs her crit after using her EX skill (similar to Aru). This makes her a very decent blue damage auto-attacker and good as a filler if you need someone in the team to cycle through your skills faster due to her low EX cost while also doing some good damage.

I have a question. Im trying to reach Chise relationship to 15 for her item but the game says her relationship has been maxed when its only 10.
