Just finished Volume 3 Chapter 3.
My thoughts: I really enjoyed the entire thing. Azusa really is a great character and it was nice to see Ghenna and Trinity rally to keep the Eden Treaty from falling apart. Makoto is a fucking idiot of course and it's crazy that she completely gets away with trying to wipe out another academy and trying to kill her academy's armed forces and even Sensei.

I think the moment that really stuck for me though was how, without being asked, Abydos shows up to throw hands with Arius and the Justina Council ghosts. It's established that Kivotos is a really big city and Abydos is far away from the other academies, so Abydos are a bunch of real niggas for showing up and lending their support. Both to support their friend Hifumi and to return the favor that the Tea Party did for them by sending Howtizers over. Of course it also was repaying a favor for Gehenna - Yes Hina had the Prefect Team show up to help save Hoshino with a diversionary attack on Kaiser as a "We are sorry that we invaded Abydos", but I see this as repaying the favor. Would have been nice to have Problem Solver get involved in this volume as well - it would have been funny to see them involved in the mayhem going down in Gehenna when the Gourmet Society and Hot Springs Department were setting the Gehenna district on fire.

As an aside - I was wondering why they didn't show up in volume 2, like "Sensei could call in a favor to help rescue Aris but I realized that while Sensei is the player character, he isn't the protagonist - He's the mentor helping the protagonists.

Sensei is there to support and guide their students as best he can. Calling in a group of students with their own problems who have never met the current group of girls he is helping before and involving them in a unrelated conflict isn't fair to them.

I'm a little confused how the Credit Card works. I get that it is a bit of meta humor, but I'm wondering if he canonically just pulled out his wallet and caused the girls to randomly teleport in, or... What?

Finished all story content barring side stories and events.

When an AI calls you autistic. It is nice that Vol. Ex is a continuation of Chapter 2.
I like how Toko hits the "emergency call Sensei button" because she was bored and wanted to play a game. Total 180 from her super serious actions in part 2 where she almost broke Neru's arm, kidnapped a cripple and piloted a mecha to keep the GDC, C&C and Veritas from saving Aris.
Millenium suffers from being overshadowed by the rest of the Academies due to being sane.

Not entirely elaborated upon. I know one fan-artist who wrote their own retelling of the mainstory who utilize the same concept you mentioned but aside of that, people kinda free to either take the teleportation theory or believed that the card is just to buff the girls out and ignoring the whole "use your own students in main story team" gimmick.

Play the millennium side stories and remember that the Engineering department built a fucking rail gun that nobody could use because "lol why not", on top of building a hot chocolate dispensing pair of underwear with active camouflage, the hacking club are terminally online NEETs who call themselves "white hats" and then do shit like changing Yuuka's weight records to 100kg (200 lbs give or take) and post it publicly, get mad at a movie for portraying hacking poorly and then do exactly the same thing (Looking at you, Hare...)... And their elite strike team are dressed as Maids, and are comprised of: One small delinquent chick, two gyarus (Asuna and Karin), one of whom is an airhead with the personality of a Labrador Retriever and... Whatever Akane's deal is. (I did enjoy Asuna bullying Toki by calling her a "Aren't you a good little dog, arf arf!", that was funny tbh)

Millennium is just as, if not crazier than Gehenna, they just wrap up their insanity under the guise of science.

Akane is relatively normal, it's just that most of them on the clock her method of cleaning up the mess = dynamites/C4/explosives.

She's is the most normal out of the band of maid misfits, and she still going to leave the place a smoking crater.
Akane is the designated tard wrangler in charge of wrangling the rest of them. Albeit she mostly wrangles Neru out of the arcades.

I do like how easily Serika falls for scams, ranging from MLM shit selling Germanium Bracelets to boogie1488 style Pump-And-Dump Crypto Scams.. No, Serika, "Scamcoin" is not a wise crypto investment.

Germanium Bracelets turn out not to be a completely throw-away joke. In the Highlander mini-story, one of the problem train crew has to deal with is a shady student peddling - you guessed it - Germanium Bracelets. Then in the CODE BOX event it's revealed that they are made by Millenium's Pseudoscience Club. Their President (culprit behind the mess that the event is based around hiding/fixing) seems to genuinely believe that they work. Rio explains that she was perfectly open-minded but without empirical evidence she had to shut them down. This makes the Pseudoscience President even more angry at her.
(I think she even approved the manufacturing of said bracelets, but only as regular decorative accessories. Then the Club was disbanded after they kept marketing them as having all kinds of unproven benefits.)

That, and Rio basically doesn't even remember about it while Mirai (the President in question) pretty much treats it as her sole motivation to exact revenge.

It's really funny.

I got to the umbrella enemies in the Missions (they have purple armor). I guess I need to stun them before they attack since they dodge everything while doing the attack and I run out of time. I guess I need to stun them? Looking at stun units I have it's base Hoshino, Miyako and Swimsuit Izumi, which is best for the task?

You can just afk until their spin attack ends then Hanako them, if that's too much to ask kayako is a fat better AoE CC applied than the girls you listed

Yeah I just had a party that buffed Hanako to the stratosphere to kill them, but didn't get time for most of the stages (not that I can for other teams since my damage absolutely sucks).

Btw I feel like Armed Hoshino should be stronger, I know her shtick is that she ignores defence, but she barely does any damage in her combat form (though her defensive form is really good at diverting boss aoes).

Her time ain't that far, just wait for perorozilla raid to roll around, or shirokuro for that matter

Purple armor needs sonic, huh? Shit .. thankfully I have some Sonic dealers, but I don't have a sonic tank.

What's the mission level? I'm on 18, still a mixture of Blue and Red (Or alternatively Blue and Yellow).

So far you could throw Tsubaki at everything and she'll do that job well, though unfortunately her damage is quite low.

The sonic is mission 24 I think, I got to 26 but my damage is too low (enemies are level 92). But the point is to upgrade the cafe so I can get more daily AP rather than 3 stars.

My strategy so far is to use Ulli and Tsubaki (former to reduce cost, latter to tank) with Maki and Nonomi (piercing, waiting to unlock Iori who should outdamage both), or Aru and Hina for explosive (Hina is absolutely amazing for wave clearing, Aru can melt enemies on crits).

Question, is there a point in attack items for special students that only heal?

Im on area 21 and starting to feel the pain. The lack of any good blue damage dealers suck.
If you can get them, Izumi, Juri (Part Timer), Chise and Asuna as well as Akari (New Year's) and Mari (or Serina) are a really solid team that throw a lot of damage around. Despite being a tank Juri (Part Timer)'s damage is really good, and Chise's AOE DOT is genuinely obscene.

Yeah the game has a loading screen that says Special Students' stats will buff Dealer Student's stats.

As for sonic tanks, looks like Aoba is the only one, and they ran that event 4 months ago. My current sonic team is Sena (Casual), Momoji, and Chiaki, and I just use Mystic girls to make up the difference.
