Twitter wasn't as leftist as Bluesky is. There's also significantly fewer people using it than Twitter right now or Leftist Twitter did at its peak. Advertisers just look at it as a D tier website from a purely metrics perspective and have no real reason to use it. From a journo perspective if I get more engagement from posting my article on Twitter or even Threads than I do on Bluesky why would I keep using it?

I assumed Singal isn't banned because he really hasn't violated TOS just by being on BlueSky, and presumably even the actual mods aren't so dumb as to not realise that banning people based on community demand sets a precedent that will make everyone else steer clear.
