Bluesky seems to be infested with bots at the moment. They clean them up at times, but they just come back, and Bluesky keeps "suggesting" these bot and hardcore porn accounts to users. I'm surprised they can't get a better handle on inappropriate content.
My account hasn't been deliberately viewing this kind of stuff, except they put it in front of me. The first batch are from today.

What makes it funny is that he’s calling Mark Zuckerberg a coward for finally getting rid of third-party censorship and letting normal users fact-check things themselves, taking cues from Twitter’s (or X’s) Community Notes. Why are Bluesky users like Tisinrei so pro-Chinese censorship?

Because modern progressives require a degree of reality denying.

I.E. your grocery bill didn't double.

Free speech is an individualist, right wing ideal. It was only supported by the left when they were trying to use it to accrue power.

The ACLU didn't support Nazi marchers in Illinois because they so fervently were for the free speech rights of everyone, including Nazis. They supported it because they didn't want a precedent that would allow Southerners to shut down civil rights marches in the South that were going on at the same time. Their myth-making about it was a retcon that some of them repeated so much that they actually started to believe it.

They never lifted a finger for a single conservative student that was being censured or even thrown out of their college for wrongthink. They wouldn't even back up students passing out pocket Constitutions, let alone Nazis.

Now that they have institutional power (maybe diminished) they push censorship and speech laws wherever they can.

Why do they care? They're in their utopian Bluesky paradise now so they never need to worry about Meta products ever again.
Why are Bluesky users like Tisinrei so pro-Chinese censorship?
Because features like Community Notes --the one good innovation to come out of Twitter-- require users to think for themselves, do research and, (worst of all,) back up their claims with sources.

People like this don't want to think for themselves. Covid made it clearer than ever they are quite happy being told what their opinions are.
