I think MLP:FiM was the ground zero for how fucked everything would become in the future, fandomwise. Or at least the most publicly known fucked fandom. Sonic is just pure autism while MLP become pure identity feelings nonsense.

Let me be autistic about the stupid shit that gives me that little boost of dopamine without being barraged by absolute bleach-in-the-eyes-worthy haram.

Like I ain't a prude and some spice is fine but holy shit dawg, there are limits.

There is some "event" of sorts ongoing on BlueSky that is an NSFW version of something called ArtFight--it's been dubbed "ArtFuck".
The amount of horrific shit I have seen pop up during my lurking makes me want to eat a 50cal Magnum Handcanon blast.

when I'm really into a new show movie or book i mostly only search for YT videos by people who know what they are talking about, interviews with the creators etc.
I avoid Twitter and the like. I was never into fanfiction to begin with.

The worst to me are the people who ship real human beings or that are obsessed with some celeb . It's so off-putting.

Yeah YT vids going into the material I'm interested in is the most I do as well; alongside any art I do that's just shared with my friend group and a couple areas that I keep a small presence on.

Allow me to sperg out a little here: Many venues okay with hosting fictional depictions of murder, cannibalism (and it's heavily related kink vore), drug use, racketeering, animal abuse, and many other crimes. Many great movies features disgusting characters doing horrible things. Why is rape special?

A lot of the bluesky crowd is worried that it will be enforced unevenly and against anything remotely related like bondage. Kind of like how furry gets a lot of flak and treated like bestiality.
