Man, for someone who has played practically zero video games since the SNES days, Bobby sure has opinions about the vidya!
The OP does have a point, though: with how corporate big vidya companies have become, there's too little innovation and a whole lot of imitation and regurgitation, with hefty doses of identity politics thrown in as well. I applaud anyone that has the gumption to go out and make something they're passionate about, especially if it turns out good. I know nothing about Atomic Heart aside from that it apparently has robot babes in it, so that's already a plus in my book (and I'm sure @Flexo's as well). If its simple existence is making people like Bob seethe for no reason, then I'm even more for it.
Bob really can't accept that absolutely nobody gives a shit about Captain Resting Bitchface and her sidekicks, Black Woman and Quirky Relatable™ Muslim Girl. The fact that they keep delaying this movie over and over is not a good sign, Bobby; to me, that suggests it wasn't testing well and they're taking extra time for reshoots and/or to whip the VFX artists some more. Your patron saint Feige isn't actually a miracle worker, and he can't just force audiences to like and accept patently bad products.
Remember that the only reason Captain Marvel actually did well was because it premiered between the climactic movies of the entire Infinity Saga, when MCU hype was at its highest, along with the not-too-subtle hints they were dropping that you needed to see that movie so that Endgame would make sense (spoilers: you didn't, Captain Cunt only appeared for less than five minutes in a glorified cameo). There were also those rumors that Disney was going around buying tickets to their own movie to make it look like more of a success, but those were unsubstantiated to my knowledge. Wouldn't surprise me, though.

Now I'm pissed off. I'd avoided a lot of Bob shit after the great tranny fire of 2022 shut this place down for a bit, but fuck off with this, Bob and company. The response to the derail came from allegations about how *Trump* deregulations are responsible for this.
I wanted to know more, so I sat down with a yard manager that has years of experience with derailments. He pointed me to the recent report from the NTSB: https://www.ntsb.gov/investigations/Documents/RRD23MR005 East Palestine OH Prelim.pdf
This is the preliminary report. It's only four pages long because the full report with all the railroad jargon won't be coming out for a minute. Trump's "deregulation" had nothing, and I can't emphasize this enough, nothing to do with this derailment. Those regulations wouldn't have prevented this accident in any way. There were no preventive measures that would have changed the outcome. It was a combination of an axle and wheel that were too hot combined with a rail that was cold and inflexible. The emergency system acted as it was supposed to, the conductor slowed appropriately, but the combination caused a derailment.
Subsequently, the treatment of the derailment was handled per proper guidelines. Norfolk Southern will likely purchase the homes surrounding the area and compensate all the residents to properly handle the ecological impact. But they'll also get government compensation for that-- but that's another story.
Now, does a good Transportation Secretary and President visit the scene of an accident like this? Absolutely. That's what a leader is supposed to do. That's the issue and nothing else. The criticism falls on one group - and that's the current leadership that told victims of this to essentially fuck off until the moment Trump planned his visit. And anybody that declares partisanship regarding disaster victims is a tribal wad of human waste. Doubly in this case as those victims had literally no impact on the outcome of this accident.

Well, if he can't convince you he's big-brained, what worth does he have? What can he put forth as a reason to respect and listen to him? What can he use to get people to pay him attention?
He's ignored by everyone he meets in the "real" non-online world, he has no great accomplishments, none of his dreams panned out, people he despises are, to him, holding him back and he can't seem to stop them from doing it.

When Ohio was on fire, nobody from DC could be bothered to actually show up until after Trump said he was coming. Atomic Heart works perfectly on Linux, so that's a plus. Hogwarts Legacy is the same way. Knowing Bob, he won't care because he hasn't upgraded his computer in a decade and he will use Windows. Even if he does upgrade, he still won't play them. Meanwhile, I've seen streamers playing it, mainly females.

In fact I actually prefer the incel types who acknowledge that they're social rejects and have actual self-awareness about their status in life over the Movie Bob "incel in denial types" who think that their obscure, worthless interests and lack of social success, accomplishments and contributions somehow make them persecuted geniuses who other people simply don't understand because everyone else is inferior to them. The Atomic Heart hype is getting to me. I know if I wait, I can get it for a lower price, and that I probably won't even need to wait that long. Everything about it seems great. This is a good example of where a demo might seal the deal for me. Of course, demos can also do the opposite.
Bob was biased to hate Atomic Heart from the beginning, because it's got everything he hates: Russian aesthetic, it's an FPS, and it has sexy robots. The fact that it recalls Bioshock probably also biases him to hate it, if he remembers Bioshock at all. Also, in general he hates games he thinks "chuds" will enjoy. (Which is absurd, I don't hate Mario because MovieBob likes him.)
As to me, well, I guess I'll just try playing Singularity again until I inevitably give in and pay full price for Atomic Heart.
