I know that any slight reversal in Bob's misfortune can be a bit annoying when you want to indulge in some schadenfreude, but if it helps, note how minuscule this bump is in comparison to the major show of support he got in the wake of getting shitcanned from the Escapist the second time:

It sounds to me like this is something that artists, their labels, and streaming services should be working out on their own. If the government wants to enact a law to ensure that artists are justly compensated for streaming, fine, but making up a slush fund that would undoubtedly get drained immediately at the taxpayers' expense ain't the play.

These numbers are from a few years ago, but in 2021, there were 82.1 million Americans subscribed to various music streaming services, listening on average 75 minutes a day. Assuming three minutes per song, that's 25 songs every day. Going by the dumb cunt's plan, that would work out to over 2 billion songs streamed per day, meaning this fund would be paying out $20 million dollars daily if artists were paid one penny per stream, or nearly $7.5 billion every year (note she said at least one penny, so it could be even higher). And that's just for Americans, not even touching on global stats. Like I said, I'm sure that better terms for artists could be negotiated, but hoisting that cost onto the taxpayer is a very retarded idea, especially when they're already paying to stream in the first place.

For instance, I've been tapped out of the MCU for five years now, but I still enjoy learning about how stupid it keeps getting. Ditto Star Wars and anything else I used to enjoy but has fallen by the wayside.

Fact is that a lot of Hollywood dreck is pretty bland and formulaic, and they've lost a lot of the creative spark they used to have. I can pretty easily picture the latest capeshit in my head just by hearing it described, and I'll have saved myself a few dollars and a couple hours of my time. Those types of movies are probably the ones that people are talking about when they say "yeah a review was all I really needed," not something with actual artistry behind it.

The logos and typefaces are so boring.

It seems to me like Marvel is now starting to run into the same problem that Star Wars is: announce a shitload of projects to show investors that the gravy train is still running, then quietly cancel them when nobody's looking because you don't really have any plans for them. Bob, of course, views this as business as usual, and to an extent he's right (don't assume a project is coming out until filming starts, and even then that's no guarantee, as we've seen from WB). But it doesn't look good to have a decent chunk of your upcoming slate just vanish without a trace.

Darren Mooney laments how women and pee o'sea get their projects canceled. He realizes that The Rat and Netflix aren't your allies and will spit you out when box office proves you aren't very good at all.

Studios were led to believe that DEI was the way forward to major profits, and then when it turned out that nobody actually wanted to watch a movie about a strong independent black woman who don't need no man, they quietly moved on. As always, follow the money.

Gamergate.

I don't have a problem with gamedevs creating characters that they want to, and I do feel for them when executives try to clamp down on that for no reason (although marketability is a good reason to be concerned, as we saw from the Hyenas debacle where the whole thing got canned before anyone could even play it because everything about it was just that bad). But when you have DEI consultants showing up and arguing that you need to put a disabled black tranny in your game for "representation," or hell, when that's coming from faggots inside the company itself, and it's taking me out of the game because it's obviously a token character, that's when I decide not to play your game anymore.

In other words, make what you want to make, but don't feel like you're entitled to my money. Wokeshit has never made piles of money, and it never will.
