It's not about artistic integrity. He mocks directors who don't want to do MCU movies because they don't get much artistic control. He wants the companies to have more control than the directors because he trusts companies, and it's less pressure on him when he finally directs a blockbuster superhero film that he still thinks he'll be able to do.
Even looking at some of those examples the twattertard gave, look at South Park. South Park, far as I'm aware, never made fun of Barack Obama. Not really. It's OK. It's far better than it has any right to. You can see the limited budget in places. Jim Carrey is a standout as Robotnik. You're not missing anything by not seeing it but if you get a chance and time and have nothing better to do it might be a pretty pleasant watch for you.
