Adding on to what @LaughJoke2.0 said, he also seems to have a fixation on Walt Disney's utopian visions of the future, especially the original EPCOT idea. A perfectly planned society for creatives (ignoring that EPCOT was intended as a demonstration of industry primarily), all one's needs attended to, giving him all the time in the world to make his dreams come to life, like "Care Bears meets Paradise Lost." This and other similar utopian ideas of a society where work is obsolete and all one's time can be spent on creative passions have been Bobby's dream for decades, despite the fact that the past is horrible at predicting the future and any such utopia is a long time away, if ever possible. Since he still lives in a world where he has to earn a living, he blames conservatives for holding back the Superior Future, his tiny brain unable to comprehend that reality isn't like a Civilization game where you can just put more points in science to make it go faster.

Originally it was Marvel, but when the Florida bullshit happened, and he saw "Maga" people hating Disney he went into full Disney can do no wrong mode.

It's also because the MCU was winning and Bob loves tying himself to the winners in a desperate attempt to be relevant.

It really started in 2015, after he got fired. While he sperged out about Amazing Spider-Man 2, he was actually reasonable towards other superhero movies, even giving Man of Steel and Days of Future Past good reviews. After he got fired though, he threw himself behind the MCU and began blasting any 'competitor', retracting his positive reviews for anything superhero that wasn't MCU. Then came the success that was Star Wars episode 7. Disney was on top and Bob immediately latched onto them as his new gods. Episode 8 was even better for him because despite making less than 7, it was pretty and pissed off a lot of the fan boy types he hates.

But now, Disney is failing. Sure, people are still doubling down on Star Wars, but the MCU has faltered, critics are pointing out what a disappointment post Endgame has been, and even Feige admitted they made mistakes. Over the past few months, Bob has been going back on his "The MCU is just like Shakespeare" stance and insisting they were always dumb schlock you shouldn't think too much about. But he doesn't go too hard because he knows they might bounce back some day.

Remember that Bob's attachments are based on the victors. When Nintendo lost the top spot in the 90s, Bob abandoned his precious Mario and only came back when the DS and Wii were selling well. He was pro-Musk, until Space X didn't get him his moon wheat in three years. And he's only been on James Gunn because Guardians was such a success. If Warner Bros becomes a huge success and takes over Disney's spot as top dog, he'd immediately start simping for them instead.

I honestly think he lives in an elaborate fantasy land inside his mind palace a lot of the time, similarly to Chris Chan, where fictional characters are "real' and he's some kind of high-esteemed elite among them because he can't actualize success in the real world.

Bob pretty much survives thanks to his Patreon and whatever other gigs he has going on at the time, which is currently his occasional wiki searches for Theorist videos and something else vague he's alluded to but refuses to elaborate on, so it could very well not exist. His actual channel has been languishing for years, which is yet another example of how his situation is entirely his own fault. He chose to ignore it whenever he got a job writing for an established website because he figured he could safely abandon it now that he was in the big time, but it's well-documented the YouTube algorithm prefers consistency when it comes to making recommendations. So he ended up falling out of favor of the algorithm, and that hasn't changed despite uploading more consistently.

It doesn't help that his content really isn't that good. He's not a good writer, he's not funny, he doesn't have a good personality, and he's just regurgitating the same opinions that you can get from any vaguely lefty critic. His production values haven't improved despite doing this as a "career" for about fifteen years; if anything, they've slipped as he doesn't even bother doing something basic like green-screen anymore (although he was never good at that either). So even if you were recommended one of his videos, why would you bother watching more?

If it weren't for the retards funneling him money on Patreon, he legitimately would have had to quit years ago, especially after getting shitcanned from the Escapist the second time. Post-Adpocalypse, channels really don't make that much from ads anymore, especially not with his anemic numbers. He's averaging less than 20k views per video, with capeshit being about the only thing that nudges a little higher, but even then a video breaking 30k is once in a blue moon. His Patreon did get a small bump a couple months ago when he did his whole This Movie Exists experiment (that he's completely failed to follow up on), but it's still far from his peak, and it seems his plateau is about 900 retards, barely 5% of his viewing audience. I can't imagine he gets paid that much to do his wiki skimming, so after taxes and fees he's not making much at all, especially living near a big city in a blue state where everything's more expensive.

He may also get government assistance too, but let's not forget that the major lifeline has been his family. After all, he is living with his mom again, who might not even be charging him rent. If Ma Chipman kicks the bucket, though, who knows what he'll do? He certainly won't be able to afford to keep the house with his meager income. Will Chris let Uncle Bob move in with him? Time will tell.
