Since it's Bob I hope his TV dies on him, but I also hang on to TVs for quite a long time. So, I've been in the same situation. (Want to hear something crazy? The TV I had before my current TV was a CRT. I basically held on to it until it stopped working to the point it was annoying. This was after the TV tuner had died and I think I was tuning it through a VCR or something. I didn't go on the Internet and say, "Woe is me, my ancient TV is dying!" My current ancient TV still works well. What a trooper it is.)

Bob's play for sympathy here is worthless though, because he wants awful things to happen to innocent people. He also explicitly didn't care if Team Blue crashed the economy.
