Liberals don't deign to create a Leftist Rogan, because individual influenzas and content creators are right wing and feudal. The left are renowned for building networks.

So where are Bobby's networks? Still, it is true that "influenza" marketing is a bad fit for liberal politics. "Influenzas" thrive for being aspirational; liberals think aspirations are problematic, ablest, and oppressive.

About the post I made two pages ago, that video about debates, the flimsiest video Bob's made in a while? That wasn't even the full video. He's planning on having an extended cut of that video. He genuinely thinks he's made something brilliant with it! Despite his career and downtime being internet rants and arguments, he doesn't like debating because he's bad at it or, even when correct, is too cowardly to want to make that prediction (like with the success of the Minecraft movie) because he's afraid of being wrong. Contrary to what he will tell you, he's been wrong about the Wii U potentially being successful or how the 2016 Election was going to go, so to any casual observer, he wants to maintain the image of being the unsung, always-correct, ahead-of-the-curve genius.

For as progressive as they try to act Hollywood is still shallow as fuck. There's a reason the Top Gun sequel brought back Tom Cruise but not his love interest:

One aged well and the other didn't. Tom Cruise has some Scientology voodoo that made him age well. Hollywood knew that he would still be pleasing to the eyes of audiences but knew she wouldn't be so didn't even think of inviting her into Top Gun 2. Because despite all the virtue signaling Hollywood is still shallow as fuck.

Another movie in Bob's tweet is "Big Trouble in Little China". It was actually a pretty "progressive" movie because it did the trope of a white hero with an Asian sidekick, but it subverted it by having the white hero be a joke character constantly failing and the Asian sidekick being competent and saving the day. Despite this you probably couldn't release it nowadays without Bob and his type having a complete shitfit about all the Asian stereotypes in the film.

There isn't much in Big Trouble in Little China that's really all that objectionable, although I'm sure someone, somewhere would find something to be offended about. No, what they'd really go crazy over is the idea of it being written and directed by a white man. If the production crew isn't 75% Asian (not Chinese specifically, because Hollywood is racist as fuck as well as shallow) then they'd try to shut it down. Bob would hotly deny this if accused of it, but I guarantee you he'd go along with it if it ever came to pass.

I know people that actually work in big blockbusters like the Marvel movies Bob constantly talks about. She has to advertise herself as a "female person of color Latina" and it's completely humiliating and dehumanizing but she has to play the identity politics game. It sucks being unable to know if you got hired based on merit or just because they needed a female Latina to fill a quota..

Who needs female empowerment when you got the gays? The first movie on this guy's list is Top Gun, a movie that is incredibly homoerotic despite it's best attempts to be sexy, is blatant recruitment propaganda for the Navy which explains the gayness, and SUCKS ASSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Bob watched all of it, took away "Wow! I want to drive motorcycle, fly jet, and have sexy with my older teacher!" and then proceeded to do none of that and give himself diabetes by being fat.
I think this is about Comey getting in trouble for spelling out 86-47. 86 is a term that means "to kill" and 47 is referring to Trump.
100% but Bob cannot just say that it's stupid or overblown. He has to make a strained, confusing, and unfunny pop culture reference.

Bob being a shill for the Democrat party and its status quo continues to be really sad. The rest of his generation, and the generations after his, are all either abandoning it or demanding it be reformed. But he's still kissing Clinton ass and telling everyone the warmongering and corporate cocksucking is all just acceptable business as usual.

Now that I got that comic spergout of out of my system, from what I saw, the video is mostly Bob talking about how he doesn't "do" debates. "All the important stuff has already been decided". In other words he is acting as if all the "important stuff" you can just look up in a dictionary. There is apparently no debate to be had about abortion, women's rights, trans atheletes in sports, economic policy, war in Russia/Israel, giving economic aid to foreign nations, tax policy. As far as Bob is concerned it's just "known", it's just "facts", it's just stuff you can easily look up. There is no "debate" to be had in the world of politics. I'm not putting words in Bob's mouth he is EXPLICITLY saying this.

This is of course bullshit because Bob is constantly debating politics on twitter. What he means is he will not debate live with a person where he can't just block them and waddle away. This mindset means that if someone on twitter gives him an argument he cannot refute he can just go "I don't need to debate this the answer is so obvious" and then won't offer an actual answer.
Okay, tried to watch the video, could barely get a minute past the Nord sponsership, but that bit about the important stuff being decided already is hilarious because for all his love of science, he doesn't understand that it's all about challenging ideas to see how the world works. And of course he agrees with the narrative, because he wants to believe what his superiors tell him. It means he doesn't have to think for himself. He truly is the ultimate believer.
What I just said is the type of thing Moviebob should be making more videos about. I know most of his "comics are weird" videos was just him reading wikipedia summaries but it was still some of his best content. That's the thing if Bob could just shut the fuck up with his political rants on twitter he could just be the funny guy who makes videos about comics and movies. Points of mockery like "that's a fairly small amount of McDonald's for an average-sized person I'd say" or him dressing up as Mario, it could be seen as little eccentricities from a lovable oaf if he was just a nice guy and wasn't wishing genocide on most of the American population constantly.

But because he is constantly so bitter and negative online all the time it makes people WANT to hate him.
When I watched him on Escapist, this was the kind of stuff I liked from him, even if I thought he was off target like his Kevin Smith trilogy that was just "Wah, he didn't live up to my expectations". And it's also what does best, his most successful videos are him passionately talking about a topic that means something to him.

The problem is he believes he's intelligent and still assumes intelligence works the way it does in cartoons where smart people magically know everything, so he assumes he can talk about political shit he has little understanding of.
Funny how he's like "oh it's not that bad," because apparently (from what I've been following over in the Disney thread), they made major changes to the script that make no sense and ruin the message of the original movie. For one, they cut Gantu out entirely and turned Jumba into the antagonist, so instead of a mad scientist learning that he too can have a family...he's just evil I guess. Also, they swapped out Cobra Bubbles for some random social worker (at least they got Tia Carrere to play her I guess), they removed all instances of Pleakley and Jumba's paper-thin disguises for human illusions (presumably to save on CGI budget), and at the end, Lilo gets adopted by her grandparents so Nami can go off to college instead of being a family together.
I could have sworn I saw Bubbles in the trailer as just an agent. But the rest of that... fucking hell, they missed the point hard with that ending. But of course Bob doesn't care because he probably doesn't remember the original and wouldn't spend time rewatching it on Disney+ when he could be pausing frames of Aubrey Plaza in Agatha All Along or whatever he does.

Tia Carrere being in it makes me want to rewatch Wayne's World.

Our overlord Josh once said about Destiny (and someone else) that they favor the status quo because it allows them to be Internet personalities - and if that changes, they would then have to go back to being carpet cleaners.

I think this idea obviously applies to Bob as well, it's just hilariously ironic because he's so little of an Internet personality, getting a real job even as a janitor would be a step up for him. But we know this would be a nightmare for Bob because of his repeated line about working his butt off and getting a job that "MATTERED" in the modern age. So now he is addicted to the status quo because if anything changes, he would have to swallow his pride and admit he was wrong.

Man, I hope when they remake 2, they replace that incredibly poignant speech he gave at his father's funeral with some girl power bullshit.
I'll be interested to see if they change the actor for main villain, Drago Bludvist, since this was his voice actor.

Live action Astrid is now a vaguely black Viking, but will they go all in with the "We Wuz" narrative?

The guy does videos about Marvel movies and he talks all this fancy talk about how he's "a relevant 21st Century man with a place in an evolving, superior, post-national future." The part about him being "post-national" is especially rich coming from him because he has repeatedly talked about how he's American as if it's a badge of honor.

He literally started a video series where he calls himself "American Bob" and is now talking about how he's so "post-national". He's not even post-regional because he's constantly boasting about how he's from Boston. He boasts about being from Boston, he boasts about being American, he is NOT "post-national".

It's worse than that because he has repeatedly said if you are unintelligent it's the exact same as being evil.

*smart = good*
*dumb = evil*

Keep in mind he has a niece and nephew with down syndrome or some sort of autism, so saying such things is even more ridiculous from him. He has to do mental gymnastics to think why him and her aren't actually "unintelligent" because he explicitly says all "unintelligent people are evil". He claims all stupid people are straight up evil but his down syndrome niece is somehow actually smart because if he had to say she was evil it would break his world view.

I think it is fucking hilarious, because he is a publicly unmasked Democrat and shows the reality of how most leftists actually think, with all the bullshit platitudes stripped away.

Robert embodies the worst traits of the Yankee, but none of their virtues.
Jingoistic, smug, unearned sense of superiority, and fat, but not hard-working, courageous, pioneering, adaptive, and intelligent. Yeah, that tracks.

Newflash, retards: you had the liberal Joe Rogan. His name was Joe Rogan. You drove him away because you listened to the crazy wing of your party. You'll never find a replacement because you pick the 20 side on literally every 80-20 issue.

THEY DID WHAT?!

How the fuck do you miss the point of the original this much? What was the thought process in writing this version?

"Hmm, there's this one guy who calls himself an evil genius, but later grows to care for his own creation like a son. Let's make him the villain."

"The two aliens' disguises do very little to hide their identities, while one wearing women's clothes is meant to show how little he understands Earth. Let's just give them holographic disguises."

"A big part of the story is two orphaned sisters learning to appreciate each other and remain a family. Let's ship the sister off and introduce their grandparents even though they should have shown up much earlier."
I remember seeing the trailer and feeling incredibly cynical about it. Glad to see that I was right.
