We are in the recession. All that easy tech and entertainment money is gone, pissed away on worker's who barely work and endless rainbow initiatives. The era of the 200 million+ movie is ending. Killed by COVID and the streaming services. As well, all the TDS inspired entertainment and content is not selling well, viewing numbers keep going lower and lower. What used to be money making franchises are dead. Star Wars, Star Trek are fading away, look at the buzz around Andor, it's non existent, and not even the people who hate Discovery talk about it anymore. Doctor Who had to bring back Tennet and it barely got any reception. The western entertainment industry is going into a decline, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Tech is feeling the same pinch that entertainment is, it doesn't make anything truly valuable, especially in the social media space. Social media's value was in being able to control narrative, consolidate information streams. 2008 saw so much money go into the finacialized economy, going into investor hands. That VC kept all these companies afloat and many never felt a need to compete, sure that they will all survive just fine. Well, easy money might be drying up for them as well. You see it with Twitter, you see it with Facebook. Right now Google has ADsense and that has been keeping the company afloat as venture after venture fail. News media is the same way, Buzzfeed is on it's way out, with VICE soon to follow. Like it or not, Blobby's world is changing.
