Well he's about to turn 42, he lives with his mother after only 9 years on his own, which started at 31. All the people he respects think he's a joke, his "closest friends" never reply to his tweets, and he has no one while both his younger siblings are married with children now. His career has gone to shit, his view count and patreon donations are dropping, the best he can do is pretend he matters at all while doing research for MatPat which will probably end soon, and he's too lazy to do anything about that film career he wants to happen. The Bone Marrow and Organ Donation Program shall allow eligible incarcerated individuals to gain not less than 60 and not more than 365 day reduction in the length of their committed sentence in Department of Corrections facilities, or House of Correction facilities if they are serving a Department of Correction sentence in a House of Corrections facility, on the condition that the incarcerated individual has donated bone marrow or organ(s).
(b) The Bone Marrow and Organ Donation Committee shall consist of five members: The Commissioner of the Department of Correction or their designee who will act as chair of the committee; the Medical Director of the Department of Corrections or their designee; a Bone Marrow and Organ Donation Specialist from a hospital within the Commonwealth or their designee; a representative of an organization advocating for bone marrow donations within the Commonwealth or their designee; and two appointments shall be made by the Governor to serve three-year terms and one of whom shall be a board member of an advocacy group advocating for the rights of incarcerated individuals, and one of whom shall be from the Massachusetts District Attorney’s Association. The Bone Marrow and Organ Donation Committee shall be responsible for the effective implementation and ongoing administration of the incarcerated individual Bone Marrow and Organ Donation program. The Bone Marrow and Organ Donation Committee shall also be responsible for promulgating standards of eligibility for incarcerated individuals to participate and the amount of bone marrow and organ(s) donated to earn one’s sentence to be commuted. Annual reports including actual amounts of bone marrow and organ(s) donated, and the estimated life-savings associated with said donations, are to be filed with the Executive and Legislative branches of the Commonwealth. All costs associated with the Bone Marrow and Organ Donation Program will be done by the benefiting institutions of the program and their affiliates-not by the Department of Correction. There shall be no commissions or monetary payments to be made to the Department of Correction for bone marrow donated by incarcerated individuals.

@Ralph Barnhardt - Bone marrow isn't like the old days, where it was a painful, invasive process. And a match is more likely with a relative, but when your pool of donors is 10-20 relatives vs. 500 million randos, relatives getting tested is mostly to make them feel better that they did something (got a cheek swab). When you're a match, they just draw blood for your donation - quick and easy. And certainly not worthy of reducing a violent offender's sentence.

Vonnegut may be a classic but Postmodernism is an absolute Cancer. Most teachers aren't competent enough to teach anything related to it, let alone teach anything relating to race without it immediately going to "huwhite people bad". I'm not optimistic about this current crop of NEA drones being capable of teaching children anything other than Heather Has Two Mommies. Hell, Heather Has Two Mommies is probably 100% better than any of the current crop of ghey propaganda. But yes, I actually was doing an Anti-Bob, on purpose.
And yes I'm aware of the books I suggested instead had been subject to bans. That was the whole point of mentioning them. I mean hell, Huckleberry Finn was banned for containing the N-word in some locations. While I agree in principle that books shouldn't be banned, I do question their value as teaching material in like say, Elementary school. Like, OK, maybe leave them in the general library if it's a High School, but to have them as actual curriculum, that's another story entirely. Age-appropriateness is absolutely a valid concern. Also, is this a high school library, or an elementary school library? I don't recall the libraries in elementary school of my youth containing age-inappropriate bullshit.
Regardless of anything else, though, literal Pr0n does not belong in schools.

Y'know, one thing that I really enjoy about the farms is that, while it is possible to block other users, I think few of us actually do. I know I haven't blocked a single user since I joined. There's a wide variety of viewpoints that are expressed here, and while there's also the occasional trolling going on and some genuinely stupid people get mocked, for the most part you have a community that has a broad perspective and a lot to share with each other. We're all the richer for it.
Contrast that with social media in general, where you're practically encouraged to block others to ensure that your personal bubble is full of only the people you want to talk with. You repeat the same things to each other and create groupthink, until you literally cannot conceive of an alternate worldview than your own. It fosters divides instead of bridging gaps, and I think it's a major contributor to how fractured our society has become in recent years. When it's easier to shut out those you disagree with than try to come to a common understanding, why wouldn't you?
I do find it fucking hilarious that Bob literally cannot help but try to get the last word in an argument, believing that it means he's won when the other person can't even reply anymore. Here's a life protip for you, fatso: mature people don't pull such juvenile stunts. It also signifies that you haven't "forgotten" them because you still feel the need to prattle on. I don't know exactly how Twitter handles notifications, but if they aren't even notified of the quote-tweet, then what argument did you even win? The one inside your head?

No, this has not been the last 40 years of Supergirl. This was a single event during Peter David's run, which featured Linda Danvers not Kara, and I'm pretty sure it involved time travel not ghosts. And Kara Zor-El has been back since 2004, she's had her own book since at least the New 52.
