Bob Chipman / Robert Lewis Chipman / MovieBob / Game OverThinker - "Coastal Elite Thinker" who wants conservatives, Christians and manual workers eradicated. Universally ignorant; cannot tell reality from sci-fi. Sore loser with short fuse. Odious Disney shill. Tranny chaser and general creep. Fat and diabetic.

I thought consoomers were vile. I was completely caught off guard by the depravity and shallowness of those who make the shit the consoomers consoom.
A lot of these people got into writing, because they thought it would be easy, and allow them to afford the life they think they deserve. On top of that so many of them got hired to make writing rooms "diverse." Beckies are Beckies no matter their skin color. Congrats Hollywood, you played yourself, and now you're stuck with the dead weight. SO many of these people just want the status of being a writer, the status of working for Disney. These are generally the people you have to avoid hiring, because the moment the magic wears off, and it turns out the job is hard, or requires effort, then the lawsuits start.

The crying about "oh, my show is leaving streaming." shows just how disposable tv and film have become in the streaming era. Who thought a show based "Turner and Hooch" was a good idea? I wanna see the numbers for these shows, just because I think it would hilarious. Imagine a 40 million dollar movie only getting 30k views on Disney+

Why does Bob assume that the "Raiders" in the title refers to Indy, and not the literal Nazis that were stealing the Ark of the Covenant? Talk about being bad at media analysis.
I guess Bob didn't realize it meant the Nazis, and assumed it meant Indy and whoever happened to be tagging along with Indy. I mean, the fucking title of the movie is Indiana Jones AND the Raiders of the Lost Ark, NOT "Indiana Jones IS a Raider of the Lost Ark along with his buddies and some random woman". Besides, Bob should fucking know better. Whenever a book - or movie - has a title like "Title Character and the X (where X is a person or civilization rather than an object)", the X is 98% guaranteed to be the ANTAGONISTS. Nobody reads the title "Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves" and interprets that as "Ali Baba is the 41st Thief". Same with most any Tarzan novel title that follows this formula. There are exceptions to this basic rule (Tarzan and the Golden Lion, for instance). And this potato brained blue curtain analyst has the nerve to accuse others of being bad at media analysis?

EDIT: Oh shit, I forgot that when it first came out in theaters, the movie title was simply Raiders of the Lost Ark. Anyone who watched the damn movie would KNOW that the "raiders" aren't Indy and the gang, it's the Nazis. Indy is trying to STOP the Nazis from raiding the lost Ark of the Covenant. So it's not like with the golden idol in Peru, where Indy is searching for the thing and goes to get it. So bob has even LESS reason to assume that Indy IS a "raider of the lost ark". Hell, it's the movie where the damn "TOP. MEN." meme comes from.
Remember: Bob thinks he makes himself look more clever by jumping straight ahead to the "higher level" jokes than ever bothering to build up to them.
I think Bob's mentioned "My uncle who works at Nintendo" before but I'm assuming it was a "joke" then and a "joke" now. I don't think he ever expected anyone to take it seriously? Gawd, Bob fails at jokes so hard.

He's got to see everything as a fight and can't ever just be chill and realize you can grease a lot more rails by being friendly and nice to people.
Bob's main problem outside his autistic narcissism is his internalization of Bawstuhn culture whereupon he believes as a denizen of Boston's outlying suburbs he has a skydaddy-given right to be a Masshole. I maintain it's something in the beer water. It HAS to be. (Definitely the beer, if Daddy Chipman thought it was cute to give 3-year-old Bob sips out of beer cans. Bob may not have full-blown FAS, but a key symptom of FAS is TARD RAGE).
Of course New Hampshire's SB272 is an anti-grooming bill. Let the teachers diddle your kids, and shut up: you are clearly not the pedophile here.
The generalization of the tweet that parents writ large are incompetent teachers is a nice scapegoat. IIRC, kids were getting schooling over Zoom, which would have included (gasp!) a Teacher! Kid's grades could have slipped for any number of reasons, including:
- Depression over pandemic which was a result of not being able to hang with friends or go places
- Maybe some parents are lax, but they would be anyway because not all parents are good (see: Cluster B Clusterfucks who never care about their kid, regardless of who's teaching them).
- feeling like School doesn't fucking matter because COOF (or Global Warming, take your pick) means the END OF THE WORLD so fuck it

I feel that the rep is complaining about homeschooling, which is entirely separate to this issue.

"What if fire and water have human faces?" is not original or creative.
I'm surprised Bob didn't figure out that "Elemental" is basically "Inside Out" but with elementals instead of emotions. It's about as original as Warcraft Final Fantasy Dungeons & Dragons. Never mind that Inside Out itself is basically a ripoff of Herman's Head.
These are the lyrics to the chorus of Haven't Been Doing So Well by some guy named Frank Turner
BTW tor's being stupid with the media embeds from youtube again.

He and his fuck up brother and possibly his sister tried to get a guy fired from his podcasting job for making fun of Bob's book, specifically Bob leaving his grandma's funeral to play nintendo, but they were too stupid to realize that that guy was the owner of the podcast so they were trying to get him to fire himself.
Oh yes, one of the famous instances of Bob going nuclear because someone attacked "my famileeee" (dead grandma is somehow besmirched by being associated with buying an air conditioner/playing vidja games and thus missing the funeral, which Bob mentioned IN HIS OWN DAMN BOOK, so it's not like it wasn't fair game but holy shit, this mafia-esque mentality the Chipmans seem to have in regards to bullshit like this is over the top NUTS). I mean sure, he didn't ackshually skip grandma's funeral to play a vidja. I'm sure most people are JOKING when they say that unless they weren't properly informed that it was ackshually about a damn air conditioner. But does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? No, no it fucking doesn't, because a person could believe that Bob would skip a funeral to play Super Mario on the Nintendo Machine.
Although, if they managed to rope Caty chipman into that disaster (I think maybe ackshually a cousin but not sure), it proves not only is she a bit more exceptional than originally thought, but she has the same broken "DEFEND DA FAMILEEEE" mafia-type attitude likely originating from their alcoholic, possibly covert-narcissist father that her two brothers are completely and wholly invested in.

I noticed there was a "Marry me!" response to Bob's pixels review in the New Yorker article. Seeing as that went fucking nowhere, I wonder if the person regretted it or found to their chagrin they had to soft-block Bob more than 6 times.
Fuck these people.
Is that person being cross-eyed on purpose for the Lulz? Because if not...

A lot of these people got into writing, because they thought it would be easy, and allow them to afford the life they think they deserve. On top of that so many of them got hired to make writing rooms "diverse."
Yeah, a pile of them wanted to cash in while writing dreck that they think will change people's minds to accept commiesocialism15minutecities.

One of the demands from the WGA is more transparency of the views these shows/movies are getting on Disney/Netlfix/Prime/whatever and I agree. I want to see what got eyes and what flopped. But of course, they only want the people who worked on the projects to see them so that if it's a huge embarrassment, they can just pretend it was a smash hit and claim they're happy to have gotten the chance to tell the story and that it didn't need more episodes or a sequel.

Wonder if Robert ignored the elephant on purpose, or it just flat out went over his head.

Anyways, here is some talk about box-office about nerd shit:

bobstupid.jpg

OMG, half of "nerd culture" has been taken over by the alt-right, who can tell what those nazies will do to our disposable trash zeitgeist!!!??

And for our media analyst here, Robert sure fucking misses the point, by a lot.

The whole discussion about box officie numbers on pop culture garbage isn't to just discuss the quality of the said garbage, but to gauge the public acceptance of it, and that is because movies now became "political".

Yes, I know, I'm not a retard, political messages and ideologies were ever present in main stream culture, mostly so the hollywood liberal bias, but it wasn't just so till recently that said message became a point of contention, as politics became more and more divisive in the social media era, and the open activism now a lot of movie makers promote.

Sure, Hollywood, or media in general in the US, was always left leaning, but at least they knew not to fuck up the bread and butter for the mass consumption, but now folks over there think it's their duty to better society by their social messaging over some shitty movie made for retards.

And since what people talk about now isn't movie themselves, but when it's gonna be the time for the first trans super-hero to debut on cinemas, then there is no point to discuss the quality of said movie, but how the public at large is engaging it, and since most people don't use social media, at least to not bitch about movie, then box officie is the best we got to see if said policy is now being accepted, which in politics means "I'm right".

Also, Robert, it takes two to tango. I remember when Captain Marvel and Black Panther made a buttload of money, you were shoving around how much money Disney made to "neener neener" the opposition at every chance you got. So, at the very least, don't act as if you are above this shit.

Not only that, but pointing to Captain Resting Bitchface and Rian's Subversion of Expectations as billion-dollar successes doesn't take into account the full picture.

The former was nestled squarely between the biggest tentpoles of the MCU when hype was at its highest, along with Disney implying you had to see it if you wanted to understand Endgame. What a crock of shit that was, when she only showed up for a couple minutes of total runtime and didn't contribute much of anything at all. Add onto that the allegations that Disney was buying up whole blocks of tickets to boost its numbers, as well as the utter lack of enthusiasm for the upcoming sequel, and it's clear that Captain Marvel was not really a success in the long term.

The latter followed on from the mega-successful soft reboot that was TFA, and again, the hype machine was still running wild. Yeah, there was criticism that JJ was playing it too safe and that it was just A New Hope rehashed, but most people were still excusing it with "at least it's not the prequels." Then Roundhead comes along and takes a massive shit all over everything that people love about Star Wars, and its box office utterly tanked. $1.2 billion sounds like a lot until you realize that it's barely half of what the previous movie made, and no one in their right mind would consider a 50% drop a success. Roundhead effectively single-handedly killed the hype for Disney's Star Wars tenure in one movie, and one of the most successful film franchises in history has been reduced to Disney+ filler, producing mediocre TV shows instead of the grand-scale epics it's known for.

Popularity doesn't equate to quality, but it does serve as an indicator of what kind of movies audiences are going for, as well as the current health of popular franchises. Thing is, movies can only ride on the brand for so long, and you can only burn the audience so many times before they stop watching, as Disney is finding out time and again as they keep letting retards write movies that actively insult their viewers.

Bob's the biggest tard of all, since he doesn't even bother to use box office stats in his commentary anyway. He has a set of brands that he cheerleads for (basically anything the Rat produces, along with anything that has big animals and/or robots), and a set of brands that he yells at (everything else), and that sums up his opinions. The good guys only ever produce cinematic masterworks, the bad guys only ever produce garbage. There's a reason his image has been associated with the consoomer, and he continues to live up to that stereotype every day.

"I recognize the movie is popular but disagree that it is good cinema" is exactly what most professional critics said about the Mario Movie. Yet for some reason Bobby threw a shit-fit over it.

And wasn't the opening pages of Brick By Brick an extended masturbation over Nintendo's sale figures?

The very first guy that Bob had a freak out over's complaint was how utterly vapid it was to the point that it was an insult to serve it to children, that children deserved more than bright colored junk. The retard seemed to take it as a personal insult and mocked him for taking a children's movie too seriously.

I absolutely hate the Last Jedi I think it's the worst Star Wars movie ever released in cinema. But the 50% drop isn't the mark of a failure for it since many franchises that have a massive hit as it's 1st film doesn't have close to the same numbers for the sequels. If the Last Jedi is a failure than so is Attack of the Clones, Batman Returns, and Superman II.

The real failure of the Disney Star Wars era is the park attractions Galaxy Edge and now the being closed down Star Cruiser Hotel which was immensely over priced. It's the real irony of Braindead Consuming Whore Shills like Blobby and Nitwits like the Fandom Menace which is they ignore the parks in their Disney dick fight for the most part. DeSantis has brought the Parks into the discussion some, but these manchildren see it as part of the "Culture War" vs grasping the real reason this threatens Disney. The films and tv shows are Disney's side hustle, now back in the days of Walt it was their main product. But since Walt opened the parks the films became a after thought to the parks and cruise lines which pull in massive amounts of more money. It's why the pandemic hit Disney so hard. When you take in Hotels, Food, Drinks, Souvenirs, Clothes, Toys, and Park and Cruise Tickets they pull in more in a month than the films do all year.

True, not every big drop is a failure, but you also need to consider the bigger picture of those examples.

AotC didn't do so well because it was following the utter disappointment of TPM, so while people still went to see it, the hype was already lessened. But thanks to the strong Clone Wars multimedia project and merchandising, that period is still looked back on fondly, especially now that Disney has shown what bad Star Wars really looks like. The continued positive buzz in surrounding material also helped RotS do better at the box office, so on the whole the prequel era ended on a positive note.

Batman Returns was a bit of a drop from the first movie, and the studio blamed its weaker performance on Tim Burton's darker tone with the sequel scaring families away. So they replaced him with Joel Schumacher (though kept Burton on as a producer) and got their zany tone back. A bigger issue was that the budgets kept going up but the box office receipts didn't keep pace, and after Batman & Robin was a critical and commercial disappointment, they canned the series entirely until they rebooted it a decade later with Christopher Nolan.

Superman II, meanwhile, was more of a third of a drop than half, so it's not exactly comparable and I wouldn't call it a failure anyway. It's more the continued drop afterward that's noteworthy, with each successive film making less than half what the previous one did (and Cannon handling Superman IV sure didn't help matters). It's the exact opposite way that you want a movie series to go.

So yeah, just because you have a big drop from a mega smash hit doesn't necessarily mean you've made a failure of a movie, which is why you need to keep a broad perspective. Ideally, you want either a slow taper off or consistent numbers; put another way, you want to be a Harry Potter or a Lord of the Rings, not a Disney Star Wars.

You make good points on where Disney's really hurting with their mismanagement of all the brands they've bought. Star Wars used to be a merchandising juggernaut, and now nobody wants to buy branded toys or stay in their overpriced hotel. Disney's really fucking good at killing golden geese these days.

Anyway, this is a lot to say that Bob's a fat retard.

Uhh kinda were my man. Like history has vindicated Superman II, but its also the directors cut that did that. Batman Returns got Burton booted, especially because he fucked up some merchandising stuff with his new take, so it was even more than a 50% drop. And Attack of the Clones is just personal to me. Fuck that movie.
