Nothing this person is saying is incorrect. Audiences know a reboot is coming, so why bother watching something that is supposedly continuity heavy. I also would think that if The Postman Always Rings Twice was awful, James M. Cain would be saying something different. Look at it this way, if the Mario movie was Mario and Luigi eating pudding and having gay sex, while being cowboys, people would...and rightly so, be unbelievably pissed off.
