I have done 3d modeling before. I wasn't very good at it, but I could do better than this shit. One thing I miss from old 2d animation is that characters had more character. You can look at someone like Disney's Cruella DeVille, Friar Tuck, or Bagheera, and everything from their design, to how they move, to how they speak all perfectly reflects their character. Now you have these generic 3d models that are just people but with slightly bigger eyes.

I'll stand by Olive Garden; that shit good and is fine foe special occasions, and is easy to suggest because everyone knows what it is and will probably say yes. McDonald's is that late night hookup; you're never bringing her home to mom and dad in that takeout box. The first two were good and I really liked the sixth one. I don't find the rest to be good at all, but I do find them entertaining for how bad they really were (except for Spiral, which was complete and total slop). But yes, The Abominable Dr. Phibes is a masterpiece
Even as someone who as seen every saw movie and kind of enjoys them. John's motivations make no sense and it is pretty obvious that they are a plot device first and a character trait second. The issue a franchise like saw had was justifying it's main death game gimmick. If you just want someone dead building these asinine contraptions is a waste of time. If you want to torture them you probably want to do it yourself.
My brother is a huge fan of SAW. He used to have a keychain with the puppet head on it where you pushed a button and it would say a line from the film. That was pretty good. I don't really have anything against it as a series.
