Bob Chipman / Robert Lewis Chipman / MovieBob / Game OverThinker - "Coastal Elite Thinker" who wants conservatives, Christians and manual workers eradicated. Universally ignorant; cannot tell reality from sci-fi. Sore loser with short fuse. Odious Disney shill. Tranny chaser and general creep. Fat and diabetic.

Not as hard as some people did.

Angry Joe encourages Chris Stuckmann to speak his mind for the sake of Stuckmann's audience. Bobby thinks joining the dogpile against Madame Web is fanning a Youtube discourse that "sucks worse" than Madame Web itself. This is ironic, considering Bobby's open refusal to review Fantastic Beasts is encouraging the mistaken discourse that J. K. Rowling is "transphobic" real villain.
stuck.png
Thank you furry.
Ah, so Bobby does remember AVGN refusing to review Fembusters, except now he thinks it's noble to stay out of the "discourse." Consistency sure isn't Bob's strong suit, I'll say that much.

There's nothing that says you have to review every movie that comes your way, but you also don't have to make a big deal out of it by creating a 15-minute screed about how you're really totally definitely not going to review it. As an example, RLM has mostly stopped reviewing capeshit, but they don't post videos about how they're not going to review this or that (if anything, they'll just make a running gag out of it, like how they kept making fun of their fans for begging them to review The Batman). Thus, I will be consistent and say that AVGN probably shouldn't have bothered with that video back then, and Stuckman shouldn't have bothered with this one now. Furthermore, Bobby shouldn't have posted his virtue-signal about how he wasn't going to review the latest Fantastic Beasts film because of how much of a TERF J.K. Rowling is.
20Feb#07
Even Darren Mooney has now accepted the reality of capeshit fatigue, while Bobby remains the obese version of the Japanese soldier languishing on a South Pacific island, still waiting for "Generation Alpha" to eventually vindicate him.
fatigue.png
That sure is a lotta cope coming from Bobby. He honestly believes that everything is going to magically start working again after years of diminishing returns, with the past year and this upcoming one being particularly bleak.

I don't see anybody actually getting excited for the Fantastic Four's third attempt at film (fourth if you count the Roger Corman movie), considering how poorly the previous attempts went, and with how much the X-Men franchise stumbled towards the end, I doubt there's gonna be much enthusiasm there either. As for DC, even if the movies do somehow turn out good, how do you convince people to go see them after over a decade of fumbling about awkwardly, never mind the potential threat of "we could just cancel this at any moment and ruin your investment in the material" like they did with the last one.

But sure, trust in Gen Alpha to turn everything around. Y'know, the generation whose oldest members are in their early teens. They're definitely gonna be the narrative drivers in...I dunno, a decade or two? Can you afford to wait that long, Bobby? Your liver might give out long before then.

Óscar Bartolomé says what we've repeated so many times in these pages: AI-generated art is only a threat to lazy hacks.
AI.png
Which part of "If you're not good enough, try harder" did Bobby fail to understand? I surmise Bobby gets his impression on "Tech Guys" based solely on Lesser Brother.
This does seem to bear repeating: all AI is doing is raising the floor for the skill level at which you can get paid. Sure, some people are mistaken that artistic ability is all about innate talent and not about practice, but that doesn't mean that using AI instead of doing it yourself is inherently bad. A lot of people have just not had the time to learn, or they've been browbeaten by others who mock their attempts and get discouraged. AI is giving them the opportunity to express their creativity, and that should be praised.

Good artists will always get work. If you're not, then the AI guy is right: git gud.

The Hill postulates that people stick to old TV shows because they find deliberating over choices too stressful (archive), and very young people don't care if they've watched the same show hundreds of times before.
oldTV.png
Why does Bobby bring up "Gen Z is at work"? The article is talking about streaming, not old-style scheduled TV.
Does Bob just think that zoomers are working 24 hours a day and not spending any time on streaming? What shitty analysis from our supposed "media literate" critic.
Let's just rip the bandage off right now before we continue: there is no such thing as a "creative class." It's a figment of Bob's deluded imagination. A piece of mental gymnastics designed to protect him from acknowledging that he's one of those "impoverished, working class rubes" he despises so much. There are creative people all across the economic spectrum. Some creatives are from rich backgrounds, and some struggle to stay afloat.

Watch Strongbad explain it:

Bob just wants to create a unique, super special identity for himself that lets him smugly gloat over the 'lower class' he pretends he isn't a part of.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: I think we should go back to the Roman tradition and treat all entertainers and creatives as the same class as prostitutes. They certainly should not be elevated to the heights that Blobbo believes they should be.

Bob is America's Greatest Hero.
So they're making changes no one wants to a sequel no one wants to a movie no one wanted.
I seem to remember liking 1991's The Rocketeer. The theme tune to that film is a-freakin'-mazing.

But, yeah. I can buy a black female Rocketeer if it's set in the 1960s or 1970s, possibly as a spy film set duing the space race (like Beyoncé Knowles' role in Austin Powers in Goldmember). But if that casting direction is used in a film set between the original film's WWii setting and the swingin' '60s, I'm out.

Maybe it's because Bob's a damn autist who feels uncomfortable in Monkey Suits (dress shirt and jacket plus pants) and can't bring himself to suck it up and wear a full button-up shirt once in his life.

Note he also wore a polo in that infamous Mario blazer picture.

Bobby also has at least one blazer with gaudy arabesque prints. As his Twitter is suffocated with stupid meme pictures I cannot find it.

Confession: I actually dig the T-shirt under sports jacket look, but it is not something I'd wear in an even semi-formal event.

He has some sort of red/salmon blazer that he used in his Gameover Thinker and comes back every once in a while. There's that black one he wore for his Marthabox retardation and there he wears a t-shirt underneath it.

To Robert's credit, he at least acknowledges that he looks like a fat dork.

He's hunched over his phone tweeting hate and bile while at a destination wedding rehearsal for his sister. He's not even sitting at the same table.

Apart from his horrific sense of fashion, I also have to say I hate how his facial hair is styled here. The goatee with a flat edged top beard thing just seems wrong. But the detached mustache and goatee was also terrible. He's just got such an unfortunate face that nothing really works for him.

Oh yes. McDonald's, the burger joint, commissioned a anime. Bob feigns confusion, but he's going to watch it. Me? I'm watching that shit for the memes. Hopefully they just have a Bob reference.

Bob is going full Bush. The only way we can get our shit together is to have a new Pearl Harbor or 9/11. This idea that we were once an "underdog country" is so imbecilic and consoomer brained. "We were a plucky country out to prove to the world that we had what it takes! We were Captain America punching Nazis!" It's so childish. It's like Bob at one of his many totally real bar fights telling randos "If all these people here weren't holding me back I'd kick your ass".

Bob followed that up in the most Bob way possible.
1708520457642.png
This is insultingly stupid. Holy shit you fucking retard with nothing to lose. Shit was looking pretty good up until March of 2020 and then the F curve. Now we have a guy in charge who can't remember when his beloved son died of brain cancer despite his constant use of that dead son as a cudgel. Now he thinks the world wants to see us in Peter Griffin street fighter mode? Quick question for the wise philosopher king, the Lord of Lynn: What was the last war we won? It has been almost a century since we've been successful in armed combat. 78 fucking years to be precise. Since the end of World War 2 we have been part of many prolonged military conflicts (because we no longer declare war anymore) and have gotten our asses kicked every single time. We have spent so much in lives and resources, just on our side, and have gained fuck all. Nobody is going to give us a new 9/11 not because they're scared of waking the sleeping giant but because there is absolutely no reason to. Why would anyone risk their own blood and money to attack us when they can see us for the joke we are? The government is incompetent and corrupt. There is a legitimate push to deny science by the very people who fucking love science to say that men in dresses are actually women. Fucking hell, Boston itself is being willingly invaded by foreigners crossing a border 2,200 miles away. The world is watching us burn with snacks in hand just waiting for us to finally break.

Even if by some magical, 80's action Canon Films convoluted bullshit some country does attack, Bob would sit softly in his mom's sewing room because he is too old, too fat, and would not be fit to serve. He would send other people's sons to die for his glory. That's the threat Bob is making. "You don't want none of this, Putin! We'll send 100,000 men over to die in the snow for just one winter if you try something with us!" Bob, like always, risks nothing and demands others to take action for him.
