yeah, there's a reason r/raisedbynarcissists is a thing, and although it includes narc fathers, most of the posts tend to focus on narc mothers, and both parents being narcs. There's enablers too, which I am convinced are actually covert narcissists themselves that hide their own narcissism very well. Then there's r/raisedbyborderlines, which is a corollary subreddit devoted to the other Cluster B Clusterfucks that can fuck up a child's life. The subreddits themselves caution that "narcissism" need not be full-blown Narcissistic Personality Disorder, need not be diagnosed, and is deduced from behaviors that show a stunning lack of empathy and varying degrees of selfishness and entitlement. Bob definitely shows signs of selfishness and entitlement. It is unknown whether his own mom is an "enabler" (covert narcissist), but we can't really rule out that possibility at this time. Narcissistic traits can be genetic.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bob's dad, being an alcoholic, had a narcissism problem. It's a chicken-and-egg scenario when it comes to alcoholics; alcohol can do the damage that creates narcissistic behavior patterns, or the patterns pre-existed before they started drinking and the personality is one of the ones that is more susceptible to addiction.

There actually is a biological advantage, but it's hormones-and-brain-related. Women at some points can't concentrate well enough to focus to "git guud". Other times, they can. (I have it on good authority that women can play vidja games better while on the rag). I mean sure, there's some guys who are like that, but in general women aren't interested in video games for a variety of reasons including they give up too easy on hard shit that requires precision, and many women have NO interest in "repetitive shit" which they consider "boring". Also in general women have spatial analysis deficits (not all, for sure) compared to men which makes then bad at judging distances and shit in games. And I'm not even talking about games designed to appeal to women like fucking "Candy Crush" which is just basically tetris, but prettied up.
Everybody gets treated like shit in gaming for being BAD. Regardless of gender.

This is correct. I'd argue any woman that is legit interested in vidja are autistic to some degree. Any woman that has good-to-excellent ability to do shape rotation in their head and has good spatial shape recognition will be interested and can git guud. These are few and far between, though.
