How a simple trope warped Bob's mind regarding "jocks":
To be entirely fair, Reggie Mantle has
always been an arrogant bully and douchebag, even in the OG Archie comics. While there definitely are jocks like that, yeah, #notall. Just the narcissists like Reggie.
They're only "top" in that much of what they produce is higher value crops like almonds and pistachios, as well as their expansive dairy industry.
Their top agricultural products are overwhelmingly fruits, vegetables, and nuts, not staple crops. Not that it's bad to have nuts in your diet, but this grossly exaggerates their agricultural output when it's mostly expensive crops.
Besides, Iowa is number two and
it's not terribly far behind ($44 billion in 2022 compared to California's $58 billion).
The bulk of its output is in the staples one would expect, predominantly corn and soybeans. Of the top 10, seven are Midwest states, with California, Texas, and North Carolina taking up the remaining three spots. Red states as a whole outperform blue states, and it's not even close.
Bob rn thinking he can live on almond milk and avocado toast if the Wastelands stop producing fodder for his fairly small amounts of McDonald's for the average-sized person?
Of all Bob's half-baked beliefs, I really want to know where his insistence that every white resident of every red state is on welfare, therefore, they only live at the pleasure of their blue state betters who graciously "pay for your food and living", comes from?
I think that Bob's talking about agricultural subsidies, not
specifically, though I'm sure he thinks that the MAGAnaiseghoulen Barrow Wight Trailer Trash ARE all on
. It is true that the feds generously subsidize agriculture, and that a lot of said agriculture happens in The Empty Lands Where Reside No People like the Midwest who vote (R). But the thing is? THAT BENEFITS BOB MORE THAN IT HURTS HIM OR THE BLUE STATES! It keeps food prices down! At least they're doing
that, instead of something retarded like Canada's Supply Management System of Poultry, Eggs, and Dairy. Which, retards will claim that the management of the supply automatically increases the quality of said products, when it's the regulations that farmers follow, not the supply amount itself, that lends to "quality". Bob is so stupid and short-sighted that he can't even see the benefit of the current setup, but then again, his smooth brain can't process a lot of information correctly, including math or logic.
This word used to get brought up every other day with Bob, but it's been a while: Manicheanism. Bob's brain is really a very simple thing, and the whole world is Black and White, Good and Evil, Right and Wrong ... but maybe most of all, What Bob Likes and What Bob Hates. Bob hates the Red States, has since at least 2016. Trump is the Great Satan for him, and the sin of living within the borders of a state that voted for him even by a tiny margin is unforgivable.
(He'll also parrot that line, "Land doesn't vote," but don't ask him to explain why this should matter.)
Bob is absolutely immune to nuance, and incapable of same. Nuance would make it harder for him to Hate Everybody, and Hating Everybody just feels too good to him. The older he gets and the closer he comes to his fatty grave without accomplishing anything meaningful, the more he'll take refuge in this easy narcotic.
Well, that and the booze.
Or "Land SHOULDN'T (get a) VOTE". Yeah, he wants only the Blue Majority to have a vote and the Red State Ghouls must be disenfranchised completely, for to bring forth the Holy Soopeeryah Fyootchah.
Bob's not alone in refering to MAGAnaiseghoulen as not-a-persons, or "Traitors", but I would ask, who are the MAGA CHUDs "traitors" TO? Are they STILL on that Russia thing, even though Biden and Son have sold their soul to Dykes Dykes?
