Bob loves the fourth movie in a trilogy, big surprise. As for the gimmick, he's at a point where every extra view, no matter how small, helps him so he's doing his best to squeeze blood from a stone.

A lot of sports fans out there know that they don't actually have what it takes to manage a sports franchise properly. They do however know that there are people out there who can do that, and they want their teams to actually invest in those people.

There was an article on Cracked over a decade ago where a guy talked about something like this. He and his friend were talking about a dumb call the referee made and the writer said he was thinking about being a football referee. The friend then asked which position he'd be, which is how the writer learned there were seven referees on the field, and he was humbled by his lack of knowledge, but also the fact that it's such an intensive job it requires seven people.

Bob has had that experience, except it was learning that the director is not also the cinematographer. It just made him want to be a director more because he thinks directors don't actually do any work on set and everyone else is responsible, except for the directors he likes. Fincher, Nolan and Villanue are hacks he can mock for this reason, but Waititi and Gunn are not.
