At this point, I don't care if bad user reviews are a coordinated harassment campaign (lol) or audiences airing their legitimate grievances. As long as it gets Bobby's knickers in a twist when the thing he simps for gets called out for being lazy garbage nobody wanted, I view the continued existence of user reviews as a good thing.
And naturally he has to bloviate over multiple posts about how what he does is totally different, because...he got a degree that proved to be utterly useless for him? Weird flex, but okay. Always fun to see people manage to get under his skin by calling him a fat retard.
Bob appears to be one of those kinds of people - the ones that think Edjumacation makes him SMRTR. He shouldn't have taken "Film STUDIES". He should have taken another program that involved audio-visual media that didn't have "studies" in the name. However, Bob is stupid and by the time the marxist bullshit filled his ears, he was already a lost cause. But he clings to that degree like a life raft off the Titanic, because dammit, he paid money for this degree, he got to work in broadcast (LOL cable access TV) before Youtube was a thing! He's SOMEBODY! Somebody who KNOWS THINGS!

He treats it like esoteric gnostic writings that are only handed down to trusted sages such as himself.
If by great you mean it's continuing to take a massive dump on Tolkien's legacy, yeah, it's doing fantastic. I don't think anyone is actually coming around on it considering the viewership numbers remain even worse than the first season's. Here's a crazy idea: why not just make something good to begin with instead of stringing people along with vague promises of "it'll get better"? Because honestly, there really aren't that many shows out there that dramatically improved from having a shitty first season as a foundation.
Bob doesn't care as long as he gets his dopamine hits. He think Properly Evolved Audiences

(not "fans") correctly consume media in the proper way just because, as he does, it grants dopamine hits and that's what makes it good. Whether that comes from flashy, fast-paced action sequences, witty banter making up 78% of the dialogue, Michael BAYsplosions, or lesbuns scissoring, it doesn't matter. Bob's concept of quality is very low bar and so is his level for "acceptable/OK/meh". Plus, bonus points if it angers the
MAGAnaiseghoulen. This is where his "
None of this EVER happened, lightsabers do not reals, this is Space Wizards for Children, therefore ANYTHING can and SHOULD happen, especially Contradictory Things and That's GOOD, touch the grass, friendo!" comes in. Which is one great big fat cope for his disappointment that Mario was not from Brooklyn in Yoshi's Island, therefore Bob didn't just throw the baby out with the bath water, he made it an abortion, too.
(Before anyone brings up TNG, I don't think the first season is shit. It's not great in comparison to what follows and it's clear they were still trying to figure out what they were doing with all the characters, plus Gene's crazy ideas were still weighing down the creative process, but at least it's watchable and wasn't actively shitting on what came before.)
Yeah, TNG S1 was very uneven. Some parts were great (
DataLore, Haven, Justice) and some were goofy (
The Naked Now), and other parts were bordering on offensive (
Code of racism Honor, The Last Outpost - though personally I think if they'd used a different look for the aliens in Code of Honor there wouldn't have been that much of a problem because the woke mind virus even back then was crying foul at using black actors to portray a "primitive" tribe of aliens because that's what the woke mind virus always does). But yeah, they fired that one Maurice Hurley guy, and brought in better writers and directors, and Ronald D. Moore and Brannon Braga really cleaned the show up. This was in the early stages of Intarwebs, but Bob fails to realize that before Intarwebs, there were these things, called letters. People would write to the studios to express their displeasure if things were taking a bad turn. The Internet just sped up that process. Bob shouldn't pretend not to realize that the fans have always complained and had a means of doing so. Some

should ask Bob if the era of letter-writing to the studios was also not reals and the fans are "wrong" from that era also.
Compare that to Kurtzman Trek, which does actively shit on what came before.
This is a lot of words to even attempt to parse the meaning of, but Bob seems to be implying that shitty things aren't made anymore, so now the only things one can level harsh criticism at are productions that are adequate. He views this as a dissonance between the critiques being made and the actual quality of the product in question and calls said critics stupid manbabies with no perspective.
This is wrong on multiple levels. For starters, garbage entertainment is still being made, perhaps in even greater amounts than ever before due to the lower barrier of entry. RLM has made multiple videos discussing the absolute trash that ends up on streaming services, stuff that was probably shot in a weekend and slapped together to make a quick buck. There's the whole genre of geezer teasers as well, getting a past-their-prime actor to show up for an easy paycheck so they can feature them on the cover. A lot of these movies are not "just okay," they are indeed shit, but low-budget shit is generally not worth talking about regularly anyway.
Like I said earlier, Bob has a low bar for entertainment levels. His definition of "bad" isn't our definition. The criteria are markedly different. Maybe he got this from his own autistically narcissistic brain that needs constant stimulation, and if it stimulates his brain, it doesn't matter how hokey the dialogue is or how contradictory the plot and storyline elements are - to him it's "good" because he gets his dopamine hits. On a fundamental level, it's been clear to me for some time that Bob doesn't actually understand what constitutes "bad". Maybe part of this is a result of his
Blue Curtains Analysis education in "Film Studies". And of course, like any good autist/narcissist, he thinks that all Properly Evolved Actually-A-Persons perceive media in the exact same way he does, and can neither comprehend nor contemplate that any other way of thinking about media is possible or correct.
Thirdly, Bob paints all these other critics as having nothing substantial to say beyond "I hate women and gays," when a lot of the time they're actually talking about why these things don't work from a narrative perspective. Drinker put out a video the other day discussing the battle scene in the latest episode of Amazon Prime Video™'s The Lord of the Rings™: The Rings of Power™, contrasting it with the Battle of Helm's Deep from The Two Towers and why it utterly failed to deliver to that level. He showed in detail how RoP's battle was a muddy jumbled mess, with confusing goals (both sides wanted to kill Sauron so why not team up instead of wasting time battling each other?), nonsensical tactics (blow up a mountain somehow to dam a river to instantly have solid ground to walk across), and absolutely braindead military actions (yeah, have your cavalry charge into a fucking forest, brilliant move). Oh, and let's not forget a stupid memberberry callback to Boromir's death, only this time it's an Asian elf woman! So diverse!
I have to wonder just where Bob got that "you only hate x because bigot" line, whether from Twitter, or from "Film Studies". It's a common strawman the Left employs, and the fact that Bob can't or won't recognize that it IS a strawman, speaks to his devotion to his Leftist Blue Curtain Cargo Cult and abandonment of all actual logic. Though I also suspect that he believes this because [what he considers to be] the Cool Kids Club

also believes this, and in order to get in the good books with them, he must adopt their beliefs.
But friendo, it's a world of magic! They can pretend they don't sink in the mud because magicks! None of this ever happened because fiction, so it doesn't matter and doesn't make it bad, and if you think it does, you need to touch the grass! - Bob, probably.
The other half of the problem here is Bob cannot write. Oh sure, he can ramble stream of consciousness via voice and text, but it's rarely coherent. Just look at his "pitch" for
what if Care Bears, but also Paradise Lost? Not to mention all the fucking run-on
paragraphs he does both in print/text and on his vidjas and mistaking their for they're or there and mixing up your/you're and stuff like that.
Thing is, back then, if we had gotten a femKratos in a God of War game, it probably would have been a badass chick wearing no more than Kratos did (aside from a boobwrap) hacking gods to pieces, a jolly good time for all. If we got it now, she'd be covered up and deliberately uglified so she doesn't appeal to the male gaze, the story would be full of feminist pandering and probably shitting on Kratos for good measure, and the whole experience would be a godawful chore. Big difference, Bobbo.
And then Bob would be full denial, because of course he would. He'd defend the shit out of the censored version, and still never get a crumb of pussy for doing so. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results each time.
Don't you just love revisionist history? Anita made videos where she showed a complete lack of understanding of the medium of video games, with flimsy arguments that were easily picked apart by anyone who knew more (which was basically everyone). She only got anywhere off of milking her "harassment," but once GG flamed out, she did too. Didn't help that a man was writing all her videos, and once he fucked off to do his own thing, she proved to be completely incompetent and unable to keep things going.
Someone even caught her on video admitting, prior to doing
Feminist Frequency, that she'd NEVER played videogames before in her life, making her the very definition of a Fake Gamer Girl. But she won't even give Bob the time of day.
Having a film degree does not make you an expert on anything outside of film. I studied computer programming in college, and it doesn't help me out a lick in terms of understanding the legal system.
Bob thinks that degree makes him an expert in All Media. Fucker thinks he's fucking Howard "King of All Media" Stern.
Never mind that most of those courses in the "Film Studies" program were pure brainwashing and little else.
I wonder if Moviebob's termination from a local TV station had less to do with hating The Passion of the Christ and more to do with Bob's insufferable personality.)
Probably a little from Column A, a little from Column B, IMO.
