NaggotFigger's updated consoomer meme makes me feel compeled to update the OP. But I'd like you to check my rough-and-ready update before I put it live.
Under Section 2A: Public / Political Events
2.A8 – Donald Trump’s second term (2024 onwards)
Donald Trump lost to Joe Biden in the 2020 election, but the four years under Biden’s rule did not noticeably improve Bob’s mood. Quite the contrary, he was constantly frustrated that right wingers did not vanish overnight. Trump ran again against Biden in 2024; the latter stepped down after his worsening mentally state was displayed to an aghast audience during the first Presidential debate. Biden’s replacement, Kamala Harris, coasted on her racial and sexual identity and ran a campaign powered by out-of-touch showbiz elites. The public let their displeasure show at the voting station: Trump swept across the nation, not only gaining more electoral votes than in 2016, but had more popular votes than his rival (that Trump lost to Hillary Rodham in terms of sheer vote count has been a sticking point for liberals like Bob). The House of Representatives was likewise dominated by Republicans.
Elon Musk, which Bob hates with a passion, has lent his financial and moral support to Trump throughout his campaign. As a result, Trump erected an “advisory commission” to be co-chaired by Musk. The commission, Department of Government Efficiency (with the acronym DOGE named after the meme dog) is to supervise federal spending.
All these should have been devastating news to Bob, yet unlike 2016, he did not explode. Like many liberals who hate Twitter / X, he moved on to the social media platform BlueSky, where he commiserates with like-minded individuals, daily reminding each other that they are smart people living in dumb people’s world.
Corresponding emendation on the section 2.A6: "Elon Musk Acquires Twitter (October 2022)"
...However, he did not really abandon Twitter until late 2024, after Musk became extremely active during Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
Under Section 2B: Personal Events
2.B6 - “Eyeballs-deep in debt”
Since about mid-2024 Bob kept casually mentioning that he was heavily in debt, and that only his intact moral sense has prevented him from doing hack jobs. He specifically said it was not college debt, but was otherwise extremely vague: something about Trump, something about "his own fault". The most bizarre thing is that he says he was still paying the mortgage of his mom's home, which he lives in.

Under "Bob's memorable phrases" (Section 3.4)
“Tetris Castle” – for which he means, of course, The St. Basil's Cathedral. During the Russo-Ukraine war (2022 ongoing) Bobby shares the wish of most liberals that Russia be totally annihilated, but he is willing to spare the “Tetris Castle”.
Expanded section of Elon Musk (Under "Bob's Obsessions and Loathings")
Musk was devastated when one of his sons, Xavier Musk, turned transgender at the age of 16 and became estranged from him. Elon then became a very outspoken critic of the transgender movement, especially the coordinated campaign by activists to turn children trans. This of course did not endear him to liberals.
Musk has donated a large amount of money to Donald Trump’s 2024 bid to the White House (see Section 2.A8 ), and appeared alongside Trump during public appearances. This further enraged liberals, including Bob, who joined the mass exodus away from Twitter.
