Disagree. MovieBob didn’t ”combine gaming, film reviews and political commentary” or whatever.

He made quick, surface-level movie reviews on the Escapist.

He also made a show where he was supposed to give hot takes about gaming that gradually devolved into cringe backyard movie making about fighting evil clones of himself with After Effect plugins, a la Linkara and a ton of other angry reviewers at the time.

On top of that he contantly spewed (and continues to spew) retarded political takes on social media. He also had a very short running show on YouTube about politics.

All of these were separate things and he didn’t really combine any of them until his political brain rot started to infect everything he put out. But by that point there were several other online personalities doing BreadTube content.

In short: Bob has always been dumb, bitter and incompetent and all his content has always been derivative and cringe. He has never been a trend setter.

I found the ending really disappointing. Call Bob "wholesome" and "harmless" and playing up his shitty small-time job writing throwaway material for MatPat and playing it like "millions" of people were seeing his shit.
