Bob Chipman / Robert Lewis Chipman / MovieBob / Game OverThinker - "Coastal Elite Thinker" who wants conservatives, Christians and manual workers eradicated. NEWS FLASH!!!!! Bad thing happens to bad person **AGAIN**
PC.jpg
May I suggest trooning out and e-begging a computer for the sake of "activism"? The troon Zach Antolak recently got a $1300 laptop that way.

So, he doesn't have $250? Oh wait, I'm sure he has an advanced supercomputer with a state of the art, bleeding edge chipset. This probably wouldn't be good enough for him.

It always amazes me how Blob has been doing this for decades and has never bothered to learn even the bare minimum of PC troubleshooting. Real "Thinker" stuff there. And good lord the sycophants, "I'll give you money for a bespoke review" and "I have an old PC that I built for one game and then upgraded later to run more Bethesda slop". No wonder these people still watch him, they're sub-mentals.

You really think that *thing* can process all of Blusky AND upload videos Bob made a decade ago? This is why your superior future is already over.

Well, the other problem is, Blob has said that all of his videos and projects are stored on spinning rust drives in his PC. He would basically have to buy SATA to USB enclosures for all of them in order to keep his data. Which, as I've said previously in the thread, isn't very evolved of him. He could very easily buy a RapberryPi and build a PiNAS using any of the thousands of guides available on the internet and especially YouTube. Granted, that would probably cost more money that Blob can afford now. But it's fascinating how having several severe PC crashes in the past hasn't prompted him to look at a more robust data storage solution.

I am curious as to how big and how many drives he has covering all his years of video. Nowadays I feel like I am able to store a lot of full length, high resolution movies and TV shows on relatively small thumb drives. I mean I put a bunch of Hammer movies on an SD card so I could watch them on my handheld game console. I mean sure, he could have enough footage that he needs a really, really large drive, but I have my doubts.

Anyway, his computer keeps telling him, "Hey Bob, I'm getting ready to go to PC Heaven (well, given I'm your computer probably PC Hell), you really need to be getting ready to replace me" and Bob keeps doing... nothing. This is his business that's in jeopardy here, pitiful though it be. He could probably write his new computer off on his taxes.

You're also assuming Blob is using modern codecs and other methods of reducing the final file size of his videos. I'd make a bet that he isn't and all his files are bloated to all hell.

Unless he's actively recording in straight up RAW, which would be in line with his cinema LARP but completely outside his technical and financial capabilities, he's probably recording and editing directly into formats that are already doing a lot of compression, so 4-8gb/hour on the high end even for old codecs and shit. Even if he recorded or composed an hour of video a day, every single day of the year, he'd end up only filling out the better part of a 4tb external drive a year. Given Bobs average work effort compared to this lofty ideal, its realistic to assume that a 2tb external that you could find at best buy for a couple hundred bucks in 2012 would be enough to back up all his data for his entire career.

The only way I can see him having much more than that one drive floating about would be if one died/got old enough he was worried about it, and so he bought a replacement. Every other explanation requires him to apply either effort, technical knowledge, or concern for his product to justify, all of which he's been lacking for a decade.

But the computer keeps working. Clearly that means it's got 5 more years left in it! *slaps rusty side panel*

This does provide me a sensible chuckle, because all he had to do was not be retarded on twitter/fagsky for 20 less minutes a day IF THAT, to backup and maintain his work.

But like that fat girl trying to ride the poor donkey he rode his computer til it broke completely. And shit, a power supply is 100 bucks, a decent GPU at Best Buy is 150-200, and a monitor is under a 100 just to get things done. Come on, Blob, you can't ask the Chippa for 200 bucks?

This is whats left of his livelihood. He has been doing this for years, he should have a back up rig of some sort if only to trouble shoot problems or keep production going. This idiot is in debt and owes money to the irs despite having almost no overhead except whatever his mom charges him in rent.
You can't afford to replace your only means of making money and aren't fit enough to farm beets anywhere. Once again bob is not making any big moves any time soon.
I do think its funny he was entertaining the idea that he should "keep leaning mandarin" earlier. The Chinese whom we will most likely be in conflict with in the coming years and have very much pushed back against the holllywood slop bob loves to peddle. Perfect place for an abrasive midwit who can't keep his mouth shut.

Or at least a rainy day slush fund. Anyone self employed should have a little bit of business money tucked away for tax purposes, legal filing purposes (Administration, not lawsuits) and other incidentals that its easy for a single individual to get surprised by. Your primary work equipment dying is a perfectly valid excuse to dip into it, better to have a computer and revenue stream and put off a tax filing, than to have no computer and pay to file empty taxes.

I'm guessing Bob's either gonna e-beg a bit then go on a fun little expert computer guy arc where he builds a frankenrig of bad part combos based on number go up and attacks people who criticize it, or he's gonna get given someone`s second hand $400 two years ago HP craptop, which honestly is probably fine for his use case.

and he'd rather spend money on rum with for breakfast and beer for lunch than save it for a rainy day. Even forgoing the (Canadian) cost of a 24 pack of beer a MONTH would be enough to save to get a new PC eventually.
"Hey Bob, I'm getting ready to go to PC Heaven (well, given I'm your computer probably PC Hell), you really need to be getting ready to replace me"
No no Bob's PC doesn't deserve to suffer just because its owner was Bob Chipman. It deserves to go to PC Heaven for putting up with all Bob's shit.

Bob Chipman is living proof that poverty is a mindset before it becomes a reality. His terrible spending habits are what did him in. Either Ma and Pa Chipman tried - and failed - to teach little Bobby to save for a rainy day and Bob just ignored them, or they never tried and passed their own dogshit lifestyle/spending habits down to him. Which is why Ma Chipman needs help with a mortgage that should have been paid off decades ago but was probably Second or Third Mortgaged to pay for Lesser Bro's renos and Greater Sister's Destination Wedding and Bob's rent on Flooding Basement Hovel.
a 44 year old draggin is old busted pc because he his too poor-retarded to have something new. SUPERIOR FUTURE MAN EVERYONE
hell, I'm probably ackshually more poor than Bob by monetary standards, and I STILL manage to save enough to get a new PC every 5 or so years. But then again I don't spend on retarded things like eating out every other day or drinking myself to death.
Come on, Blob, you can't ask the Chippa for 200 bucks?
are you kidding? Chippa's still paying off his 6-figure renos and completely unnecessary SmartFridge when a regular fridge costing a third of that would have sufficed. For all his superiority to Bob, he has the same retarded spending habits.
This idiot is in debt and owes money to the irs despite having almost no overhead except whatever his mom charges him in rent.
Don't forget the copious alcohol consumption and eating out WAY too often for someone of his means.

Bob's too stupid to save money because he has a poverty mindset. His dad was an alcoholic and had pickled sperm (and Mama Chipman pickled eggs) and together they pickled at least 2 out of 3 feti to the point that neither of them can make sound fiscal decisions. Plus, didn't Bob brag about trying Cocaine, because after all, that's what the Big Shot Movie Producers/Directors/Writers do to get such GREAT ideas? If Bob has a lingering Coke habit, it would explain much about his bad spending habits AND his overall debt.

If only we were so lucky. If he was even just rarely coked up, we'd be getting the occasional fucking wild video from him, or otherwise obvious manic periods.

Maybe he got fucking fleeced with some baking powder or the like.

A PC is not hard to get if you plan well in advance and buy it in parts. Some ram sticks here, a CPU there, a case you got on sale, monitors and keyboards from your last rig or from thrift stores; soon you have a rig in 6 months to a year ish.

The only lingering Coke habit is all the soda he drinks. There's no way he knows any sort of reputable drug dealer, let alone tried cocaine. He'd be beaten and robbed the minute he set foot in the ghetto.
