Nope.

At least now we know who one of the idiots retweeting Bob's fascism is.

I see that stupid plane comic all the time on my Facebook feed and it bugs the crap out of me. This sort of "well they do know best" attitude towards Washington is such tripe, especially when it comes from people who call for swamp draining the moment a Republican Congressman opens his mouth.

What's Bob's evidence that Momoa!Aquaman is a "[...] snarling drunk brute"? Seriously, I'd like to know. Also, what's wrong with characters initially having flaws then growing as characters beyond "They don't fit in his black-and-white worldview"?

Whose to say Momoa isn't behind the decision to portray Aquaman that way? He seems pretty ecstatic to play the character.

Also, in DC's modern incarnation of the Justice League that was introduced in 2011, Aquaman was portrayed as the one who was most reluctant to join and even more reluctant to cede leadership to someone else. This characterization is pretty on point actually.

There's just something really condescending with Bob believing he can dictate how a minority character is written, and how they should be completely flawless, one-dimensional characters because "muh representation!" I remember he complained about Suicide Squad for the exact same reason.

Bob should stick with the MCU, which removed Tony Stark's struggle with alcoholism (something that was a part of that character in the comics).

Classical heroes have been done to death and are boring no matter what race of people plays them. A flawed, badass Aquaman sounds interesting and fun.

There was an Aquaman arc once which was basically "Conan but Underwater". I think a move towards that is a step in the right direction.

Aquaman works much better as a sort of fantasy adventurer than an actual cape and mask superhero.

Plus Aquaman is generally regarded as the biggest loser of the DC universe. Sure there have been times where he's actually cool but this would be the first time the mainstream audience would get to see an Aquaman that isn't goofy or campy. If it goes well it could very well legitimize Aquaman in the eyes of the general public.

Not that Bob cares about what an audience wants, just what he and his clique of unpleasable SJWs want.

Bob wants comic book heroes to be suitable for the small child that inhabits his morbidly obese body, but with the addition of sex. That he can attribute his standard complaints to minority representation is just a bonus.

But casting Jason Momoa as a Aquaman and making him a sea barbarian was the smartest thing DC Studios did in years.
I actually like the idea a lot myself, since Aquaman was really just Namor with a more unfortunate media presence. I legit like the islander warlord idea a lot since its both a really smart way to get him his powers and doesn't feel forced like say the time they had Miles Morales as Spidey for the "muh diversity" cynical marketing BS,

Bobby is just the type of tardchild who unironically flapped his hands to the OG superfriends with the two kids and that dog. I know this because that would be down his alley, considering how hard the even worse Mario show lodged in his brain.

Okay, is La La Land gonna be to movies what Halo/CoD are to games for Bob? Like, calm down:

The last tweet could be used to explain Bobby's opinion on reality when it disagrees with him; ie that he is perfectly fine with slipping into the matrix and living a lie.
