Fun as it is to rule him as a tard, just because he wrote a book that was mostly about SMB3 it doesn't mean he's as exceptional as the Sonic fans who literally go crazy at the idea of more than just Sonic 1.
He barely mentions Sunshine in the book, mostly because he was getting old and Pokémon was the new kid on the block. Even the infamous quotes about Yoshi's Island don't skip past him claiming to like the games first [but of course, he spends three pages talking about how this game ruined his enjoyment of the setting because Nintendo didn't care about it as much as he did, the fat fuck].
But yeah, it's not a problem to like other Mario games unless you're trying to mess with 'popular logic' like saying Hotel Mario or the edutainment games are your favorites. You won't get a rise from him. You have to go for the elements in the games themselves, like saying that it's okay for Peach to be a damsel in distress, or that Miyamoto is a moron for thinking plot shouldn't be a big point [or that Cammy isn't a carpet-eater no matter how many photos of her ass he shows on a single video].
