I'm open to this whole thing being more than what it seems; but from the outside looking in (and not with law enforcement data), it looks bad for Brian. Even if he didn't actually kill her (or the lesbian couple); he left her in the wilds and returned home solo, and didn't do much to assist in locating his fiance. The shit his parents did really doesn't help either; no way in hell they're that fucking naive, or somehow let their son (who's a person of interest in a nationally known story) somehow escape the house, which is under constant surveillance. I already put in the earlier thread, before this confirmation, but gonna leave it here too.

His parents will utilize the Ethan Ralph Defense. "We didn't know why he wanted to go into the forest by himself. Why would we think he did anything to the girl, he loved her. I'm dumb as fuck, ya honor."

I imagine he'd have expected them to find her sooner or later. Probably just gave himself enough time to disappear.

The fact that he ran, and she turned up dead, does make it more likely that he was involved in some way. Whether it's leaving her behind, accidentally killing her, straight up murdering her, her killing herself and him thinking he'd get blamed for it, etc... that's still up to be determined.

Whether or not her death was executed by Brian with intent to kill, was self defense, was him being a dipshit and leaving her to the elements because she had a harpy moment even though it'd threaten her life, etc, I still think he's a fucking coward and deserves to neck himself for the shit he's putting Gabby's family through because of him not coming clean. Even if he's a scared bastard who didn't mean whatever action or inaction that left Gabby dead, the fact he REFUSED to cooperate if that was the case, not even talking to anyone outside of him family that isn't the cops because he's afraid of going to prison for what happened that trip, just the fucking refusal to do the morally decent thing and instead fleeing damns him in my eyes. He's ruining multiple lives instead of getting out of whatever dysfunctional relationship he was in without a death count.

She's unstable and abusive, but the legal system is going to assfuck him even if she killed herself or it was self-defense. Role-reversal and she's getting acquitted with a movie deal.

I'll be honest, I don't really give a shit about him or her, and the only reason why I feel that this has been making national news when it's a local story at best is BECAUSE SHE'S WHITE AND YOUNG AND PRETTY REEEE because people have become obsessed with True Crime and that's the kind of shit that women live for.
