No hate as I love me mum, but she has a Daily Wire “Liberal Tears” tumbler Anno Domini MMXXVI. I don’t have it in me to tell her Ben Shapiro wasn’t cool 10 years ago.

Boomers seem to go to the extremes of either allowing their children to watch inappropriate stuff, or being overly protective to absurd extremes. There's no middle ground.
Ha! Yes, I remember a Boomer woman being super concerned when I, as a 10 year old, requested a cup of tea. You would have thought I'd asked for a pint of gin. I could see her fretting about it - understandably, since no-one under the age of 21 ever drinks tea, right?
In the end, she refused and gave me a cup of a disgusting chocolate drink called Milo. Because it's much better for children to have loads of sugar.

Watch your mouth, Milo is prime goyslop. What was her deal with tea? Just that she didn't understand a child would ask for it?
Caffeine bad unless it's in soda then it's ok.

To crank up the austism, in kiki's delivery service Disney changed a line in the dub to hot chocolate from coffee when the baker lady offered her some coffee as they felt a teen being offered coffee was inappropriate.

But e.g. Steve Wozniak and Richard Stallman are both boomers. Both are more responsible for your access to personal computing than you are yourself,
Haiku 4 u:
"Two boomers were smart
Therefore, ALL boomers are smart
I am very smart"

Your point is retarded, but it did make me laugh, so kudos there.
They are so mad at us for not giving them free labor because they simply do not have the money to hire someone to watch their house for them.
Good on you for setting and sticking to a firm boundary.

Your parents sound very emotionally immature, and it may well be better for the kids not to be exposed to that kind of entitled behavior until they are old enough to understand that it is wrong, rather than internalize it.

When boomers talk about buying homes like its nothing, it disgusts me.
"Pull yourself up by the bootstraps" there aren't any left. You lot took them all, refused to teach anyone how to make their own, and then spat on the generations beneath you for not being able to effortlessly follow in their footsteps.

I wanted to take home ec/practical life skills classes in school, but there were none offered.
"Learn from youtube/the Internet". I did, but it's embarassing that okder generations could not be bothered to pass down what their parents taught them.

For many boomers: The grief upon your deaths will be largely performative. In private, your mortality will be celebrated and your names cursed. No one will miss you in a way that matters and you'll be remembered as the Greediest Generation.

The oil embargo was a strict sanction that fucked Japan's invasion into China and South Asia, and it was masterminded by Roosevelt and Acheson. At what point were Jews ever involved?
Not only did FDR know about it, the Americans, British, and Dutch were comparing notes down to precise movements of Japanese vessels. FDR is guilty of treason, but to the Boomer pointing that out is kicking a golden calf WAY too hard. Jews get brought up because /pol/ types try to tie it into Allied Powers governments regardless if it's true.

Interesting video that I think belongs in this thread. Really great channel, and while he defends boomers a tad here (mostly in the context of not having any of these divides in general because Jews want it) he makes really interesting points in how the boomers stopped giving people personal lore, history, and knowledge and wisdom because TV replaced it all for them.

The thing about Boomers that still manages to surprise me is how materialistic they are.

Long story short: My husband and I have been dealing with estrangement from his side of the family for roughly 5 years now. My mother-in-law has tried to throw money and gifts at the problem at times, and my husband is like "We decline the gifts, for the umpteenth time. How about an apology and a promise you won't treat us this badly anymore?" and the in-law response has been "Well, we've tried everything. You're cut out of the will now" without a single comprehension that money and material things are not of any importance to us (especially at this point).

I've heard some very similar stories from others about estrangement with Boomer family members.

I have a personal boomer anecdote. I am a married father of 5 children who are 7 and under, I work full-time and my wife works part-time to get by. Needless to say we are very busy with no spare time.

My boomer inlaws bought a second home and go down there all the time to relax. They expect us to watch their house for free during their many vacations, this means cleaning up their cat and dog poop, watering their many plants, and taking care of the garden and chickens. It's about 2 hours of work since their house is set up for two retirees to stay busy all day.

This year, after our 5th child was born we decided that we were no longer going to do this for them because it is too much of a burden for us. This caused a severe rift between us and them, they are constantly complaining about us not doing our share to help them.

We have been told that they complain to people at their church that we are ungrateful and don't pull our weight and that they are worried we won't take care of them when they get even older.

This last comment got us wondering about how they were set up monetarily for retirement. We found out that they actually cashed out their entire retirement accounts to purchase the second home and are using only social security to live now. They are so mad at us for not giving them free labor because they simply do not have the money to hire someone to watch their house for them.

They are fully expecting us to support them if money dries up and they simply are not prepared to hear us tell them no. To them, their children and grandchildren are only there to serve them and their interests.

My children are not allowed in their house because one time my nephew broke a decoration in there and my mother-in-law no longer allows children in her house. At the same time her Facebook is filled with pictures of her grandchildren (that she didn't take) to have the appearance of her being present, all a facade.
Your in-laws are losers.

I am actually so angry for you.

I feel bad for Zoomers in the sense that Boomers and Millennials really fucked them over during covid.

That said, Zoomer women are fucking cooked. They are every bit as entitled as the worst Boomer you've ever come across, and they simply don't want to work (and get mad at not being compensated for not working lol). Zoomer dudes at least have a slightly better work ethic than the chicks do.

Speaking from experience, I have recently been in a position where I've had to hire some Zoomer women, and I literally had to fire all of them for just plain being unreliable in every way possible. The only ones that have worked out thus far have been a fellow Millennial and a Gen Alpha.

I get it: the economy sucks and all that, but you still need to show up for work to get any money, y'all. That's how life works.

I really do think that Gen Z having such a raging hate boner for Boomers is because they classify anyone older than them as a Boomer.
Zoomer women are retardedly entitled and if they aren't fat it's even worse.

How are Gen Alpha doing?

What was her deal with tea? Just that she didn't understand a child would ask for it?
I could tell from the look on her face that she thought I was lying about drinking tea at home. She thought I was trying to get away with asking for an "adult drink" while my parents weren't around.
She was a particularly stupid bitch.

Why does that make you mad? Why would you want to perpetually rent your property from the government? Property taxes are gay and British.
Because 99% of the time its framed only as a carve out exemption for people over 65. It's never a blanket end to something, it's always everyone else has to keep paying the tax except the boomer because they're on fixed income.

I personally would love to not pay property tax anymore but they only suggest things that make my share to pay go up.

Most of my still-living (enormous) family is young-Boomers. Most of the Boomers' kids are Millennials, a couple stray Gen Z. And then.... basically nothing. If my life depended on it I couldn't name all my first cousins, but I know more about a lot of my Alpha cousins-removed than their own grandparents do. The family fertility takes a real huge shit around 30 and we go through menopause young. This isn't new news, Boomers are super into genealogy, you can see that by 32 or 33 all my female ancestors are wrapping up and closing the factory. The men aren't exactly out there tearing up the town either. We're pretty long-lived for white trash- if you didn't die as a kid, living to your late 80s or early 90s wasn't uncommon even a century ago- but that doesn't change your fertility window closing by 35.

Welp, my extended family decided that independence is good for you and totally something 18 year old dipshits can handle right around the time the student loan industry really got going, so everyone who didn't get knocked up by a carnie at 17* was lucky if they could afford to have a kid or two before even modern medical science wasn't going to help.

My branch didn't have kids because raising another generation of lil' Temple Grandins in poverty seemed like a terrible idea, but even the genetic lotto winners didn't buy tickets much.

*She's actually doing well, she got knocked up by a well-off third cousin next.

Ah, Indiana.

Alas, this does NOT count as powerlevelling.... it describes half the damn state.
