Takes a few minutes of googling to find multiple weird examples of older generations having men in their 20s, 30s and extreme examples, 60+, marrying girls that were 10 to 14. Then let's not forget about the 60s and 70s where parents didnt care about or would purposefully let their children get entangled with rockers and wealthy men. It's not a fantasy. Maybe you just have a soft spot for Mick Jagger and Jimmy Seville though.

when i go out longboarding on the park bike trail there are a lot of 20 something women that clearly just doll themselves up and go speedwalk around alone wearing too much makeup. They're doing the stanley cooler performative middle class thing more for the benefit of being seen than anything else. You can tell from how they try bat their eyes and evoke a smile from you when you pass but have a look of "oh no" if you stop - because they want to feel pretty and get looked at, they don't want to actually interact with anybody. They want to see man on skateboard ogle them, they do not want man on skateboard to try and hit on them.

the boundary in question is totally missing when it comes to old people. my mom understands the hypothetical perfectly fine without me even having to explain the details but my grandma does not understand at all why a man would stop himself from hitting on a pretty women out in public on a bike trail, like they're high school girls at a soda bar or as if their number is something people give out to strangers candidly these days. Just assuming that people are going to give me what i want because i'm a man. i don't think they have even thought one iota about how the world has changed since they were 18, tbh.

Day 54. My Dad finally took a shower yesterday. It had been July 3rd since his last and he had even pooped his pants in between.

Why don't old people like to shower or change their clothes? Are they unaware they carry a special fragrance called nonenal body odor that is specific to them? Or maybe the boomer folks ARE aware but they enjoy having yet another way of infringing upon everyone else?

Whenever I do my Dad's laundry it stinks up the whole house for a day or two after. And the load that is washed right after picks up a hint of that smell. My eldest child has even noticed so it's not just me.

Off topic but if it's that bad that it effects the next loads you might wanna pick up some washing machine cleaner and run that after his loads. It adds more time, but I'd rather clothes smell normal and not like a boomers literal shit in clothes.

11100000000% bullshit. If you're top 10% of your class in HS in Texas you get automatic admission to the state schools.

I was top 5% when it was top 10% get automatic admission.



You DO NOT have to do all that to get into UT, A&M, Texas Tech, and so on.

Maybe if you're going for a full ride scholarship at their places or TCU/SMU/Rice.

Also, major selection generally is locked in in second semester Sophomore year or maybe First semester Jr year.

When you go to grad school the Degree path is essentially set day 1.
