Dude what is this psy op? So many celebs are saying they are not leaving their kids anything - Jeff Goldblum (who is almost 80 with single digit children), Gordon Ramsey, Ashton Kutcher, Oliver Tree (didn't shit out kids before he died, thank god), Mila Kunis, Simon Cowell, Anderson Cooper (who is a fucking VANDERBILT btw), Jackie Chan, Marie Osmond, George Lopez, Akon, Warren Buffet, Kevin O Leary, Michael Bloomberg, Steve Job's wife, and more.

I really don't know how any rational person would think leaving their wealth to NGOs and charities is a good idea considering these organizations are 10% charity 90% money laundering. It also goes to show how these people (many of them boomers) have no theory of mind. Yes, they worked hard, but they also had a lot of luck to get into the positions they got into. Expecting their children to have that right kind of work ethic + luck is asinine. I can't imagine growing up in upper upper class privilege and then my parents just pull the rug out when I'm an adult. TBH I'd probably just start pulling cash from their wallets and selling their expensive crap they won't notice.

It's also worth noting that many of these celebrities cite massive wealth as being a burden, Sting said "an albatross around their neck." These people really see having mansions and flying private as burdens. They are sick in the head. They've twisted their entire world to convince themselves that they are the ones who really struggle, even living like kings. Sick shit.

A celebrity psychiatrist names Raj Persaud (pajeet, but hear me out) suggested that the best recourse for celebrities is to not have kids precisely because of stuff like this. Look at Rob Reiner and his wife being killed by their son. Why would you have a kid only to see them sparingly or just to fuck them over if not for selfish reasons?

Celebrities just make for poor parents.
The fact people in their generation at their age are still out partying and trying to pick up girls young enough to be their granddaughters tells you everything you need to know about Boomers. They never had to grow up and the party never ended.
You cannot imagine the amount of times I've been to raves and seen people in their 60s there, and they stand out like a sore thumb.

their black sheep druggie children
The black sheep children of boomers are the ones they tell to pull themselves by their bootstraps and to just work more. They'd never help them in any way, especially bringing them along when they move. These (grand)children are their "can never do anything wrong" angels.

Old man pulls out a knife on an 11-year-old for riding a bike on the sidewalk.
Typical Boomer mentality. They keep their mouth shut when low life scum try selling drugs to children right under their windows but god forbid a well behaved kid dares to enjoy his life. Boomer priorities. Nobody can tell me they're not natural born bullies or that they don't do it out of pure sadism.

Day 57. My Dad is finally leaving at the end of the month to go stay with my sister for awhile. My husband, kids, and I are all glad. This poor hibiscus plant which he is slowly poisoning with his dirty denture water might have a chance. I will soon tell the story of why my in-laws call him a nudist but I'm a little too troubled by it at the moment.

Is the inheritance really worth it?
Not really. Most of it will probably go to a bunch of probate lawyers in 2 different states because he doesn't think he needs to have his end of life affairs settled. But to just be unburdened by it all... DOTP can't come soon enough.

You need to get that shit figured out now. Pay for a lawyer to file the shit you need for a trust and just hand him papers to sign. Thats the extent of his involvement. Have him sign whatever papers you give him. If he refuses, then know how unfair to you he’s being. To put that kind of burden on your kids after you’re gone? To have you deal with probate and most of his inheritance go to the state? Fuck that. Force his hand and make the decision for him.

Don't be a fucking pussy trying to keep the peace. Your dad is going to die. He needs to accept it. Sorry, I’m having to deal with a similar situation and it is NOT fun. I’d rather know that someone doesn’t allow that to happen to themselves.

I know. I have very poor boundaries and I am being a pussy. TBH I am still kind of scared of him and I'm almost 50. Also, I have called an Estate Planner and he does need to be present to get the ball rolling for all of that. It can't be done without his consent. And my sister (whom is financially set for life already) won't back me up and press the issue with him. So there's nothing that can be done unfortunately. He won't even let us claim him as a dependent on our taxes despite the fact that he actually IS a dependent and he doesn't even file anyway. He's ridiculous! It's not like letting us claim him would take a single penny out of his pocket but the fact that we'd benefit to the tune of probably a meager $500 a year and it would help qualify for more financial aid for our children's online homeschool curriculum, he can't stand the thought of it. These boomers are just rotten to their core!

This is what I would do if I was in his position. Since he already lives with us and my sister, I'd pay off both houses. I'd put $10k to $15k in trusts for each of the grandchildren. And I'd still have plenty leftover plus around $2k a month in Social Security to thrive on. I'd pay to take my family on a yearly summer vacation. Instead of expecting my children to always buy me lunch I'd take them to lunch, & I'd fill up their gas tanks when they drive me all over town.

But no. A boomer can't stand the thought that life will go on after they die. They can't stand the thought of lending ANY kind of help to their family despite the fact their family has been there for them. They'll use you till the day they die and leave you nothing. Or to fight over scraps with the government and lawyers. I think they actually get some sort of sick pleasure in that thought.

I've accepted it. I now just do my duty as a daughter trying to do the right thing. I'm trying to set a good example for my children. I'm trying to earn some good karma points with the Universe or God or whatever. Even though I hate it. Even though it's very burdensome. I have a lot on my plate with my own young children, husband, home and animals to take care of.

This thread has been very therapeutic for me. So thank you, Kiwifarms for allowing me this platform to vent my frustrations.

A few years ago at one of my old jobs, I had a boomer follow me through a parking lot and scream at me, because I slowly rolled through a few stop signs while looking for a place to park.

Yes, I was in the wrong, but I was literally driving 5 miles an hour. And he followed me in, so it wasn't like I cut him off, or anyone else. When I parked, he waited for me to get out of the car, then got out himself and started screaming at me about how "you could have killed someone" and insulted my reading ability. I asked if he was a cop, he was like "uhh yeah", and then I started asking about where his uniform and badge were, he dropped the subject and went back to screaming at me and calling me stupid. At that point, I just started stonewalling and kept saying "that's none of your business". He kept pressing me to say I was wrong and he was right about me driving dangerously, and I just kept saying "that's none of your business". Eventually he made a show of reading my license plate out loud, and walked away threatening to "report me".

I never heard anything from the actual cops, so I assume he was either bluffing or the actual cops told him to stop wasting their time.

Again, I was rolling through stop signs at low speed in a parking lot, so I was in the wrong, but at no point did I cut anyone off, and his reaction was so extremely disproportionate that I think he was already mad about something unrelated and was using me as an excuse to vent. Which goes back to your point about boomers being bullies and picking on normal people as a power-tripping move.

Just saw a fat boomer in his upper 60’s waddling carrying a baby basket out of the hospital with his Ms Yum Yum SEA monkey wife who looked barely in her early 20’s who was grinning ear from ear.

How long until he finds out he was just used as an Anchor baby Sperm donor?
Thanks boomer, for at least providing us future content in the form of another Supreme Gentleman

Every half Asian/white male I’ve come across or seen is either gay or troons out. My guess is they don’t look white enough for Asian women and look too Asian for white women and due to tiny dick stigma associated with Asians, they just either become virgin incels or faggots.

Half white/Asian women, no matter if they’re a 2/10 spoonface, are raging whores.

Or stop hiding careers like teaching behind 7 years of study if they want to get payed well
Lmao. I live in a boomertopia area and there has been big controversy here because the local schools are hiring people without any form of teaching certification to teach so the districts can save money come pay day. To the complete and utter shock of no one, said people they hire end up being pedos that end up diddling.

As well, when they can’t find some 25 yo looser who is willing to be paid 30 grand a year to get access to jail bait, they’re also hiring boomers for teaching positions. They do this because said boomer teachers will maybe work for 5 years before finally actually retiring/dying, and are a less of a strain on the payroll then hiring someone with their proper degrees right out of college who would be teaching for 30-40 years.

Don't hate "Boomers" and not all of them are bad, but that advice they give may not work.

Like that meme about eye contact with a good handshake will guarantee getting a good job.

a good handshake will guarantee getting a good job.
Does anyone know where the origins of this firm hand shake = CEO position boomer rhetoric comes from? Like it had to be on a sitcom or some Walter Cronkite broadcast, because it's shit that was repeated across America and boomers aren't original. Even my dad gave me this advice. I wanted my first teenage job at Panera and he told me "Tell them you're looking for a job not an application, and give the manager a firm handshake." I went to Panera and they were like apply online you fucking sperg. I just wanna know what piece of media infected them with this mindset.

maybe in 1960s and 1970s small town america this really was how things worked?
it does seem plausible in theory. imagine living in a small, high trust, 98% white, tight knit community where almost everybody knows everybody. in such an environment, some kid walking into the local bank (or car dealership or restaurant or whatever) and asking the manager (who more likely than not knows the kids parents) for a job with a firm handshake and succeeding is kinda believable tbh.

And of course there are "Boomers" who think applying in person is the only way, even in the Information Age.

Me, "Um, no. I do not have any paper applications in the back. Or anywhere else."

Brandon: "Mom, we could just do the application online."

"NO, BRANDON, WE CAN'T. I TOLD YOU I DON'T LIKE ONLINE APPLICATIONS, WE'RE GOING TO DO THE OLD FASHIONED PAPER ONES OR WE'RE NOT GOING TO DO ANY AT ALL. I TOLD YOU THAT, BUT YOU DON'T LISTEN, DO YOU? I MEAN, AM I SPEAKING ENGLISH? CAN YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IM SAYING?"

This is one meme I don’t really agree with because the intent of it was that back in the old days, when people actually talked to eachother like human fucking beings, you could talk to someone who worked there and they could hire you on the spot if they liked you. The eye contact and firm handshake was just common professional courtesy.

And for real, you should still do that. It’s just that the job market has been fucked up by Hr departments, Online applications and the like to where getting hired is so faceless and robotic, you’re no longer a person. You’re a number on a spreadsheet meant to pad out hiring numbers.

To tie it back around, all of this is because of boomers who couldn’t be fucking normal and had to squeeze every last dollar out of things like hiring someone for a fucking job.

But if you do want to work somewhere, I highly encourage you to talk to someone there and ask them questions. They’ll still probably point you to the online application but they might also reach out to give you pointers and help you cheat the interview. But only if you’re polite to them and not a dumbass fuckstick who dresses like a nigger.

if you can't convince him to get his end of life paperwork in orders you should consider telling your sister to treat him like he's won a trip to Treblinka.

I will never understand why so many people see it as their duty or as a moral good to be nice to assholes. I mean I guess they were raised that way, but at some point you gotta leave the parts of your upbringing behind if it's bad for you.
It's not even just not the right thing to do, it's actively the wrong thing to do to tolerate the exploits of assholes. You are enabling them. You show them that it's okay to be that way. You are actively a bad example for the kids.
Maybe, just maybe, leave the oversocialization behind and listen to that animal instinct that makes you hate the situation. Maybe that's a sign. Maybe sometimes you should listen to those low, spiteful feelings in your gut, when they tell you to leave a situation. Deal with the aftermath later, don't keep overthinking yourself into staying in a shit situation.

I just hate that mindset of being nice to assholes and niggers and making exceptions for them, but nagging and pestering the genuinely good men and women because they take it and it's risk free. I always read it as a boomer thing, but I think it spans all generations, at least for whites. I thought it was some reeducation mindset the former axis got, but apparently it happens elsewhere too.

A lot of it is rooted in the Dale Carnegie BS that was mid-20th century. Even then it wasn’t realistic. There were also stories where some guy would claim he emailed a CEO and the story would go that the CEO was just so astonished that the kid just wanted to have a chat with the CEO that he was given a job then and there. Lots of stupid “just so” stories that left out that the kid was actually the son of the COO of the company and that the kid knew the CEO for years because their families hung out on occasion.

At its core, it’s the hope that by bypassing the system, you are more likely to get a job. However it’s so boomerfied that it’s unhelpful advice…advice they never took. Any kid not a nepobaby had to follow the process otherwise there’d be a long line out of every manager’s office with fresh grads looking for jobs. Never happened then, sure as shit never happens now.

Sounds like a symptom of the main character syndrome so many boomers have. "I was rewarded because i was a MAVERICK who BROKE RULES and GOT DIRTY, thats how i got rich YOUNGIN." (In reality they got hired like everyone else did and didnt do anything out of the ordinary)
