Borderlands (1, 2, 3, The Pre-Sequel, TftB)

I know its just a rip off of SS and they went into it caring that little about the source material but everyone looks like shit. Why would a studio even green light this in the first place if they knew everyone would look so shit? Also there's a reason this shit was supposed to come out in like 2022 and they've held it off until this year. Why would you even bother making this shit if its going to be this bad?

Why would you take a game series that has a lot of hot young crazy people killing each other and hire a bunch of old men and old ladies to fill their shoes? Aren't young actors and actresses gonna be cheaper too while also being an investment in the long run? Like shit instead of some 25-30 year old for Tannis lets hire a fucking fossil that could die any day now, I'm sure this film will be a boon for her career.

Why turn Knox into a woman when Steele was the OG main antagonist and a woman!?!?

Why hire a comedic manlet for a role that was originally the straightman (comparitively anyway)?!?

Eli Roth, is this just a money laundering scheme for your bros?!

"but it has big name actors so it will make more money because people know them"
-some executive probably

The only one who looks good is Marcus and that's because Marcus is already a middle-aged fat man.

The rest look like trash.

(This was supposed to be posted yesterday but the site was being retarded lol)

Also don't be silly, the series forgot Axton existed until some minute DLC from BL3 where they were like "oh yeah Axton's a character, maybe we should use him for something"

Playing the 2nd game for the first time, I must say, I thought the driving was the worst thing until I played the A Dam Fine Rescue mission.

> Play through Bloodshot Ramparts
> Mow down through hell of bandit & later robo mobs.
> Just about to fight the W4R-D3N.
> Low on ammo, so went to sanctuary to get an Eridium upgrade for AR & Sniper for the boss battle.
> Game doesn't tell you (unless I missed a tip notification, I genuinely don't think the game ever told me this) that when the fast travel station is yellow you can't return to it without combing through the whole level again
.

Forgive me being a bit MATI here, I legitimately can't tell if it's skill issue on my part, or the game has genuinely bad design in many areas (mainly the driving).

Why is there a fast travel point before the boss, if we can't fast travel to the back to the same point by the final boss of Bloodshot Ramparts? Hell, why do we have to suffer through the whole Bloodshot Stronghold, AGAIN? What's the point of a fast travel point to begin with then?

I also heard there's something similar later with the Hero's Pass. Who designed this shit?

It's kinda on you there. Outside of being yellow, the one-way stations feature the "NO U-turn" roadsign and (I think) flashing "NO RETURN" letters. That station is there so you can go back to Sanctuary without walking all the way to the regular fast travel. There's like 5 of them total in the game and they really aren't designed to fuck you over, just provide a quick retreat. They're mostly next to bosses.

Just to give you a heads up - when you're at a mission which requires you to defend a MacGuffin from being shot at (it has a health bar) it doesn't automatically fail if its health reaches zero. You can repair it.

"Wow, you really suck at defending that beacon."

As a Zer0 sniping main, fuck that mission.

Little update on this, apparently one can just run past everyone, except the first shutter (the gate, with the Tannis Pizza mission, where you meet the field rats).

Also, I think I might have just cheesed the W4R-D3N fight with just a rifle & a sniper.

Got this in the Lilith Mission due to 2 loot midgets coming out at the same time.

Got this from a loot box during the Roland Rescue (I think it was the Jail Cell one, but not the one in the cell).

Somehow the Golden Key rifle was inferior in terms of raw damage to it.

Got this thing from Golden Keys too, but honestly didn't use it until the end, just to see how good it is. My retard brain almost sold my rifle due to the damage difference, until I realised that's a shotgun.

Badass Redeem Stats:
Screenshot 2024-06-24 132925.png
Skills are:
5/5 - Bullet Damage & Speed
3 (or 4, I think?)/5 - Reload Speed
1/5 Reflection
I heard this fight was hell due to bullet sponge badasses, but I'm somehow having a worse time with the mutant Varkid side-mission.

@Xenomorphs Are Cute are you playing with mods? the drop rate of weapons becomes a real pain once you get to true vault hunter mode when you need a decent gun just to kill regular grunts.
No, tho I think I should get mods just for the Fast Travelling alone. Also, I think I'm already feeling the real pain of what you're talking about. I'm just level 16 rn, & somehow the W4R-D3N, the early boss character, felt less of a pain to deal with than the Adult & Mutated Varkid bugs. I can't even imagine how worse can it get.

Also, I'm playing the Epic version which I got for free through their giveaways, which I've read is shit with modding. Now that you warned me, I think I should use the profile.bin exploit tho.

I dropped this franchise at the 2nd game because it was starting to get pozzed, also it's too easy to cheat to get busted gears. I had lots of fun playing normally but after finding out how easy you can edit guns to get the best modifiers and stats, I just got turned off.

Borderlands as a system is just dogshit.
>Introduce new characters with no personality
>Reappear in next game as NPCs with tons of personality and a new design to look forward to
>Scratch that: Half are replaced with BL1 characters cause uhhh memberberries
>No character ever returns as playable so what does it all really matter
It seems absolutely impossible to me for any other team to appear in BL4 than Tina, big head siren girl bitch from 3, and some other mix of small girls with one Brick-esque "big funny ogre". Man, they make even break form and pull back Gaige.

So it's a perfect 1-1 adaptation of the source material. Finally a video game film that captures the essence of the game it's portraying.
Hey fuck you too, buddy. The OG Borderlands had great writing. It all went to shit with Burch and whoever replaced him in 3.
I still hope it sinks Gearbox and Randy Bitchford is forced to sell the rights to Duke to someone who actaully gives a shit.
