One really cant believe that Richard would understand theoretical physics and things like nucleosynthesis. All he can do is regurgitate what he sees on Wikipedia and History Channel. He's never once stepped into a science class room at a college/ university level.

Also, there may have already been an instance of another universe smashing into our own out at the WMAP Cold Spot as that would explain what is going on there. If that is the case, it would defeat the Colliding Universe theory for the Big Bang as obviously we didn't see another Big Bang. However this does give credence to the fact that the creation of our universe created others and they just hit each other while being formed. Kind of like making hard candy and letting the finished ones hit each other before cooling. Some will be deformed with dimples or out right cracks in the shell.
